I flew Spirit for the first in almost a decade back in December. It actually wasn't so bad. The ONLY reason I flew with them is that it was the only airline that would get me to my destination in the shortest amount of time (with layovers, etc). :manny:

I don’t see how y’all do it. The price point is just too significant to overlook.

One flight is 250 the other is 600. You’d pay an extra 350 just to avoid spirit?

if it's that drastic then Spirit it is. But being right here in Atlanta, by the time I pay for carry ons and shyt, I'm close to Delta prices since I plan my trips months in advance

$250 + Seat Selection Fee + Carry-On Bag Fee + Checked Bag Fee + Extra fee for checked bag over 40lbs when the standard is 50lbs

Add all that and it's not a huge steal. Plus you roll the dice with those types of airlines because they can't do anything for you if there are delays or cancellations. I flew Spirit one and only time and I got moved to a new flight without notice and missed the other flight I was moved to. All they did was give me a refund 30 days later. Granted this was years ago, but still :dahell:

To me it's not worth it. Instead get a major airline credit card and just rack up miles and perks.

Ain’t checked a bag in years.

To get a window or aisle seat, check-in as soon as online check in is available

Never flew Spirit and let my wife convince me to fly Frontier round-trip. Never again. Uncomfortable seats, broken suitcase (they replaced it), and the flight was uncomfortable.
