Explain the thinking on this one, @Brozay

Is it just the injury concerns?



I certainly wouldn't give him a long term deal but I would definitely take a flyer on him after the season he just had. The talent has always been there.

I’m just seeing this now. I’m a bit baffled by this move considering if Carlos was to turn down the QO we would get a free compensation pick in the draft, which is even more valuable considering we have a bottom tier farm. If he does accept it, whatever you have him on a harmless one year deal.


Maybe they know something I don’t about his injuries, but maybe they just can’t trust him to be relied on for a full season (which is probably fair but on a one year deal who cares really, you shouldn’t count on him in that instance)

Overall odd move imo

Could be the same reason the Dodgers didn’t give one to Kershaw.

someone could take the flier on either one and give them a lower salary for bext year in hopes they are available the following year.
