Human arm isn’t supposed to do the fast & snapping action of pitching. A good majority of guys will break down eventually. Dudes are learning how to throw breaking balls early as hell like in little league & it’s a matter of time.

I thought I was good at baseball as a kid till around 12-13 I went against a team in a rival park here in Atlanta that had Marquis Grissom’s nephews pitching & them nikkas were throwing curves. They no hit us every time we played :mjlol:

Same shyt happened to us. We ran through everything on the south side. When we made it to state then kids were throwing curve balls and we couldn’t hit shyt. We could only get on base from a walk.

Crazy thing is our coach told us before the games “be patient and watch for the curveball”. Wtf good does that do when we never had the means of practicing against a fukking curveball? :heh:

Same thing on my end. It hit me as an adult my coaches didn’t know what the fukk they were doing. I’m left handed & they had me at 2nd base. Only infield position a lefty supposed to play is 1st base. They just had a bunch of kids from the hood out there hoping we could beat folks with athleticism. We never even practiced hitting anything other than fastballs :snoop:

What park you played at bruh? I was on the southside too. Played in Hapeville & East Point growing up. Grissom’s folks played for Welcome All Park in CP.

:laff:

Your elbow joint had to be screwed from trying to make that throw to 1st. Throwing everything side armed :heh:

But at least them coaches dedicated their time :obama:
I was thinking bout that shyt when I looked at an old team picture of a basketball team I was on and the coaches were my dad and another kids dad. My dad aint know shyt bout coaching no damn basketball or soccer but he was out there giving his valuable time just to watch me be a scrub who couldn't shoot for shyt :mjlol:
But looking back it makes appreciate my pops even more knowing what its like having to work :wow:

Played at Gresham a bit played most of my ball out of Duncan Park in Fairburn. This was back in the 90s when Fairburn and Union City were still 60-70% white to give you a time frame.

I feel the same as you though. We won because our white boys could pitch, our catcher had a GUN, and the rest of us were fast as hell. If we got on it was automatic we were stealing not stop. As an adult now I see our coaches didn’t know what they were doing either. Most of the kids were swinging bats too heavy for us just because someone had a new one and we liked the design. My dad bought me one the proper length and weight and it made a huge difference.

That was before my time. I remember playing the Fairburn Flames in football & they were all black lol.

Never played Gresham in baseball but they used to kill us in football every year. I swear each eastside park had illegal players. Yall, Scottdale, Central DeKalb, DeKalb Yellow Jackets, all y’all cheated :russ:

Yeah even when I was on the flames coaches were cheating. It went by weight back then so when I was on 120lb and under team we had kids that were taking laxatives and dehydrating before weigh in. They had 12 year olds doing that shyt. Got kids out there going to motions like they professional boxers. Couple kids on our team actually ended up making the NFL, and back then they were clearly bigger and stronger than everyone else.
