There's a general lack of talent in baseball. Both Central divisions are terrible; the AL West is shyt outside of Houston; the AL East isn't really that talented outside of the Yanks; NL East and West have two good teams then meh afterwards.

These teams don't have any quick fix options either.

Naw, all the stars are just on the same damn teams. Dodgers, Braves, Yankees, Astros, Mets are pushing All-Star teams on their own.

I don't remember if it was Keith Hernandez or Tom Seaver who said during a Mets broadcast in the early 2000s that expanding 4 teams in the 1990s basically allowed an extra 104 (26 man roster x 4) players into the league, of those 104 let's say 70-80 don't belong in the league. There's your talent dilution.

You're proving my point.

There is a big difference between there arent stars and the stars are on the same team.

It also doesnt help that the Angels have 2 who would have an even larger footprint if the rest of the team wasnt complete ass.

Name 5-10 position players besides Trout you can count on for big production year in and year out.

Thats why I'm against expanding any of these professional leagues.
Get rid of these borderline pros and stop watering down the league for the sake of adding an extra tv market that no one will care about after 3 years cause the team is super trash and nobody wants to go to the game or watch them on TV

Not just that, but the union would definitely be cool with expansion. They'll always advocate for more jobs which two extra teams would be, no mater how bad those players would be.

Jose Altuve
Bryce Harper
Mookie Betts
Vlad Guerrero Jr
Aaron Judge
Ozzie Albies
Pete Alonso
Freddie Freeman
Paul Goldschmidt
Trae Turner
Manny Machado
Shohei Ohtani
Ronald Acuna Jr.
Fernando Tatis Jr

MLB knew they had a problem with all the good players being on a small number of teams which is why they mandate each team gets an All-Star. It’s a BS rule that tries to hide that a small number of teams are stacked.

Hell naw, I watched him call a Braves game last week and it was the driest commentary I’ve ever heard. He made me wish Joe Buck was calling the damn game.
