I came into this thread to post about the O's winning 7 straight and only being two games under 500


NL East is another tough one, every team except for the Nationals is competitive right now Marlins recently had a six game winning streak. Marlins also have an Cy Young candidate that the Mets gotta face tomorrow

Being a div winner don't mean much with the expanded playoffs. "Bragging Rights" i suppose but meh..

Being a div winner does mean something.... if you have better record than the 3rd playoff team whose also leading a div You avoid playing in that one game playoff BS and you basically get a bye. Yea you can still make the "playoffs" by winning a wildcard but you lose one game and you would not even see the Division Series You play on the road in the wildcard and lose your team won't be able to make some extra cash by hosting an home playoff game which always usually sell out (or come close to it)

I was listening to the latest Jomboy podcast I had to rewind it when they said the O’s are almost at .500. I’m happy for their fans. It’ll be dope to see Detroit and Pittsburgh somewhat competitive.

fukk Washington. Braves going for the sweep tomorrow but Ian Anderson is the starter & he been mid this year. Need Miami to win against the Mets tomorrow to set up an epic series with the Braves and Mets on Monday for the NL East lead.
