Twins traded Taylor Rogers and Brent Rooker for Chris Paddack and Angel Pagan. I like the idea of trading relievers for starters, but Paddack hasn't been very good for two years. But Rogers only has a one year left on the deal and wont throw more than 70ish innings so worth the gamble.

I remember one series when Acuna didn’t run out a ball and Freeman threw him under the bus in front of the media. Acuna helped them win the game though (I think the series too) and freeman couldn’t hit the ground if he fell out of a plane.
Somebody will pay him what he wants, if Boston isn’t willing to.

I couldn't help but remind myself of how awful the Albies contract is. This deal is basically double what Albies is getting over that same span.

That's why I'm proud of Soto and Devers for turning down offers that were substandard.
Hayes shoulda just bet on himself and put together a big time year and dealt with an extension later. If he was worth $70 mil off a year where he had a .689 OPS, he will punch air if he has a 20/20 season
