Herman had some derogatory things to say about the DFW area while he was at Houston. Always felt that bias carried over to his recruiting and preferring Houston kids.

1. They were. It's the fact they were still recruited ahead of JSN.
2. He accepted a bag early from A&M, once he committed to them he was never coming here. The resources should have been spent elsewhere like on JSN.
3. He doesn't know the playbook and if he doesn't get it by spring he might get pushed out.
I am hoping we grab a couple of WRs in the portal. New WR coach is also a good hire.
By this logic, shouldn't Sark & his staff get the same criticism for chasing after Evan Stewart after he committed to Aggy? I done heard detailed rumors of the illegal bags he got from Aggy.
Evan didn't commit to Aggie as early as Demas did so that isn't a fair comparison and we also had bags on the table for Evan.
Still crazy to me we've had trouble recruiting WRs. But maybe that changes with the new WR coach.

UT was playing the bag game. A&M just went above and beyond market rates this recruiting class. Going forward the hope is NIL negates the bag game but I think that is naive. I think it'll just serve as a signing bonus going forward.

Arch Manning would be nice but the #BlackQBAgenda hasn't died in me. Who's supposed to be next C.J. Stroud/Bryce Young/Caleb Williams in the 2023 class?
We just recruited a black QB who I think many people are underrating.
I think the next QB breh in the '23 class is supposed to be the 5-star QB Malachi Nelson that was committed OU when Lincoln Riley was OU's Head Coach & is now committed to USC under Riley.
I finally watched his highlights earlier this week. He looks like the real deal & is perfect for Riley's offense.

Their coach is still Jimbo and Jameis ain't walking through that door. Plus this is A&M we are talking about. I think it will be quite entertaining to see how this plays out.
I hope Jimbo Fisher NEVER feels pressure to hire a new OC. Just keep trying to recreate the 2013 & 2014 FSU offenses.
