Most folks knew he wasn’t accurate. We saw the biggest sign a couple years ago against KU in Lawrence where he missed a deep pass to I think Jamison. @Numpsay probably remembers. Since then? I paid attention to it and he has showed me that is a major problem. Shane was always a better qb throwing the ball downfield with accuracy. He just didn’t have the pocket presence.
Pretty much. If either one of them could’ve combined their abilities...:banderas:

:mjcry:

I guess Big Sam would make a decent half-back or TE in the NFL. :wow:

I just went on the spurstalk forum. Looks like you ain't the only person who thinks Sam is inaccurate.

Not only is he not accurate, when he does manage to be somewhat accurate his ball placement is the worst I've ever seen which is why there is seldom any YAC on his completions. He is so bad they had to start coaching Eagles to not run full speed on 9 routes because if not the ball would be severely under thrown.

Not only that, folks ready to move on to Casey Thompson next season even if Sam comes back. Do folks feel the same way on Shaggy?

Let's hope both Ohio St and Notre Dame lose today so we can get some kind of movement on our coaching situation brehs.

I can’t imagine the Kelly rumors are true. Hard for me to believe a Irishman from the Northeast is going to leave that job. He’s probably using us to get a raise.

Notre Dame job only pays so much and pay his assistants less. A raise would only be marginal and no where near what we could pay. Also ND has entry requirements that limits recruiting. Not saying it'll be Brian Kelly but there are reasons he'd leave ND. But I'm sticking with my previous call :mjlit:

This game is case in point on why Brian Kelly might leave. Sure it's a life time job but this is obviously the ceiling. If he ever wants to win a title he'll have to leave.
If this is true, it will be a problem for him at Texas. At ND he can lay low and fill his recruiting classes with private/catholic school kids who grow up dreaming of playing for ND. At Texas he’s going to have to fight tooth and nail for recruits.

He would fill his staff with assistants that would basically recruit for him. We don't have the entry requirements that ND has. I don't think recruiting would be an issue.

He isn't going to turn down the type of money UT is ready to offer him if it comes to that.
