Perk got poked in the eye, went off the field, then took a knee like a foot from the sidelines. Coaches had to tell him to get up and get off the field b/c we had some momentum and he was causing us to slow down the offense. He came out the game 3x for different things. Nothing serious so he could have played through some knicks, JMO. He's an upperclassman with NFL potential, he needs to play.Perkins was nicked up coming into the game and despite being in pain continued to try and play through it. Sure it was annoying watching him come out as much as he did but they aren't going to hold him out if he says he can go. He is our second best OL. Not sure you can tell a guy trying to play through injury to toughen up.
I'm not sure who you mean by Hughes. Cameron isn't on the team anymore. Did you mean Hodges? I was pleasantly surprised by both him and Anderson also Rodriguez as well. They all filled in nicely.
Warren was way too tentative. He just needs to go downhill like Foreman does. We have a change of pace back, K. Johnson, they just didn't use him. Eventually the flares out to the RBs will be used. I assume once we face a team that will blitz from the edge.
Hughes missed that tackle but Wheeler also guessed wrong on which gap to fill and was out of position to make the play. 2nd TD wasn't on Haines. Hall and Davis didn't communicate and blew that coverage.
I'm glad we kept the 18 wheeler package but I think we went to it to much. It should continue to be a situational thing. Going to it in the 3rd Q helped stall the offense, along with too much Warren to save Foreman's legs for the 4th quarter. Short yardage plays and redzone opportunities is about the extent I want to see the 18 wheeler package going forward.
According to OB, Kirk is still not fully back from his ACL injury. They're saying he's going to be out a little longer than expected. Can't wait to get the backs involved in the passing game.
