That's pretty much where many are coming from. I've seen videos where some people in Mexico keep saying, "I'm a Latino" and another Mexican interviewing them says, "Latino is a culture, not a race. What is your race?" The people are dumbfounded until the interviewer says, "How about saying you're Native American?" Then the interviewed people are left speechless. Some have never even considered the idea that they are Native Americans, despite the fact that they are. Some people have been brainwashed into thinking all Native Americans were wiped out, so it's completely impossible to identify as such (in this type of programmed mind).
Man, nobody caught it worst than them nikkas. Entire cultures are gone. Then on top of that the colonials took their way of life and tried to pass it off as there own. My CAC teacher put my on to the Iroquois Nation. Their constitution served as a basis to the American one.

But like you said most Mexicans and shyt are just Natives. They come from the Aztecs and all that shyt. They should be proud. The Spanish said the Aztecs cities were so much cleaner and I think the Mayans created social security if I not mistaken.

I thought Tainos were wiped out though...

They were for the most part, there are still small Taino populations in South American countries and smaller Caribbean islands like Martinique and Dominica.
This is the equivalent to blacks whose ancestors landed in America to say I'm not "African-American, I'm African", but real Africans would laugh them into the ground. Hispanics can say this Taino stuff because the real Taino's are pretty much extinct and can't laugh them into the ground.
Most Latinos are a mix of European and African and have a small percentage of Taino blood, as the European settlers came in wiped them out with their diseases and brought in the African slaves. Many are also of Aztec and Inca origins, those tend to have very little European and African ancestry, unless from the last century.

Sixteen “autosomal” studies of peoples in the Spanish-speaking Caribbean and its Diaspora (mostly Puerto Ricans) have shown that between 10-20% of their DNA is indigenous, with some individuals having slightly higher scores and others having lower scores or no indigenous DNA at all. [54] A recent study of a population in eastern Puerto Rico where the majority of persons tested claimed Taíno ancestry and pedigree showed that they had 61% mtDNA (distant maternal ancestry) and 0% y-chromosome DNA (distant paternal ancestry) demonstrating as expected that this is a hybrid creole population.[55]

Only problem is the Tainos/Arawaks in the Caribbean were practically wiped out by the time colonialism and slavery got into full swing. The people's of PR,DR,Cuba etc are blacks, Spaniard whites, or mixes of the two with a tinge of native ancestry. Most of the time you can tell just by looking.

Really the only difference between them and African-Americans is their slave masters spoke Spanish and ours spoke English. The rest is just divide and conquer bullshyt.

You are right about entire cultures being wiped out. Part of the colonial, imperial magic trick is to wipe you out with the same ferocity with human language as with weapons. When it comes to the war of words, the first step is to remove native religions, culture and family names. The colonial/imperialists rename people as if they were nothing but property, slap European names on them and make them forget/dislike their own spirituality. Then the cultural appropriation comes when the colonial/imperial force says, "My culture is mine, not yours and your culture is as much mine as yours." When you can control what labels a group a uses, you are inside their minds and control them. When you have the sovereignty to claim your power or at least reclaim it, you can break the spell. I'm proud the comment section does not mainly consist of, "Who cares if other people define us, it's just a name" or "I kind of like having my own identity wiped out and retold back to me in the words of an outsider." Part of breaking the spell is telling your own story in your own words and having the confidence to do so (not needing some other group to back you up and give "credibility" to your identity).

Mexican television often handpicks the most European people possible for many shows. I bet some DNA tests would show those people are literally pure or mostly pure Europeans. The darker skinned people are shunned like they represent the Mexico that "people are ashamed of."

Hispanic, Latino and Latin, All words that in truth just mean mixed person of native American/Arawak/Carib + African + white. Some have more of one type of DNA then the others so that's why you will get the Latino who are basically Spaniards and the ones that are no different then a African American besides the fact that they speak Spanish.

Its like a specific group of mixed people becoming their own race because they fit some broad criteria. Imagine if Brazilians were given the same treatment LOL, would get more confusing.

All of these indigenous people of the Caribbean islands today have some black or European ancestry.

Well Spanish woman are mixed women with ancestry varying from black, white and natives of the Americas/Caribbean. Also black woman come in so many different shapes what specific shape are you referring to?

Spanish woman = multi-racial woman who happens to speak spanish. 500 years ago their would be no "Spanish woman" at least not in the way we refer to them today. (IE not a person from geographic Spain.)

Just the robust big booty wide hips hourglass shape that our ancestors in Africa haVe hey have it also compared compared to African Americans. Does this go to show the intermixture as African Americans have European in them from slavery.

they are finally figuring it out :obama: all these people are native americans, its a reason the government gives them names like Latino & Hispanic which make absolutely no sense when you really think about it.

Yeah its a possibility, I mean theirs a decent amount of African American even straight African woman who have a really skinny build. If you look at black woman from Jamaica many are skinny and they have little to no significant european dna so:yeshrug:. I think it just a true testament to just how diverse black people in general are.
The only build you will rarely find on a black woman is the box build.
