Cashman said it in London. Stanton is fukking injury prone. Jesus.
He’s not even that brittle. He had one season where he missed half the year and 3 seasons of about 120 games, not counting his rookie year since I recall he got called up in June. That’s still a lot of games to play. The odds of two separate and unrelated injuries both causing him to miss this much time like this though :francis:. At least he won’t have tired legs by the postseason.

I mentioned this game and the Mets game which was this month as well. Aside of those two starts his ERA is in the low 3's.

He has not been inconsistent. You can say injury prone and inability of going deep into games but inconsistent outside of those starts..nah.

His ERA is 4.34 and he’s giving up a ton of baserunners. He’s been underwhelming, especially since he’s supposed to be the next guy after Sevy. Having the occasional great start is not enough

Don't Believe the Hype
Sorry, but until he proves otherwise, Stanton is a f*cking PU$$Y, in my eyes! The team will totally be fine without him. I just don't like his ilk on my squad. Get this f*cking snowflake the hell outta here.

Stanton will never opt out, was hoping he had a big season and wanted to cash in on one large contract. Only way he leaves is if he dislikes NY which I am hoping he does. That contract sucks worst than A-rods.

Yeah. They suck. But they did it on purpose. Dumping Stanton's salary was a smart move.

Honestly, the Marlins and Ray's just need to get the fukk out of Florida. Even when they won, they wasn't making money like that.
The marlins were being run for the last 15 years by a con man so wretched and sleazy that the feds tried to build a RICO case against him. I can’t recall how to spell the previous owner (same guy who owned the dolphins before Steven Ross), but he did a pretty terrible job too. Hard to ever get a footing when you’ve been around since 1993 and only made the playoffs in 1997 and 2003. They have had more players die in boat crashes mid season (RIP Jose Fernandez) than playoff trips in the last 15 years with at least 2-3 fire sales along the way, with 2012 being especially bad, dumping all their deals midway through everyone’s first season there. Why should the fans support them as a franchise? They’ve never done anything to earn their trust.
