this thread got me going back watching old Pac interviews.

That time during the east/west shyt was something else.
Pac was just a passionate dude...there hasnt been someone like him since.

btw...I dont know why you dudes arguing if he was a thug prior to him getting on. He's the one that said, he didnt have a record till he had a record deal.

I cant fathom how someone can watch a Pac interview and not feel what he's saying.

GOAT---- Its fukked up you cant find a rapper now that speaks openly.

This is my problem with PAC and his fans. When we used to sit around and argue about MC's it always came down to lyrics. If it was Nas, Jay, Big, Redman or whoever was your favorite you had to present your case using this or that line or verse. Pac fans just kept telling me how real he was or his passion. I just care about bars. I can't rate a nikka off an interview.

How can nikkas not fukk with 2pacalypse? :mindblown: Pac was on his militant steez while getting at white America which is always a plus. Violent, words of wisdom, trapped, my homie calls, part time mutha, brenda got a baby. Album is mad underrated

That end rant:wow:.........If that wasn't cathartic, u're not a black man

you dont have to listen to many shows to realize Jack is one of them old school Timbs in the summer New Yorkers.
A lot of them are still salty about Pac going hard at Biggie and all of them.

They cant help themselves...so I dont hold it against them :manny:

Imagine the whole world loving NY...then all of a sudden everybody is laughing at NY slang, the music, everything...shyt, they were even bumping Hit em Up....
...those are some deep wounds

I agree with you on that one. Ever since 2005, NY has been an afterthought in popularity in terms of new artists and trends. Hell, you got NYers that sound like they from Georgia now. :what:

Combat Jack is from that old school mindset where NY is everything and everyone else are just peons.

From his 1st album
This is for the masses the lower classes
The ones you left out, jobs were givin', better livin'
But we were kept out
Made to feel inferior, but we're the superior
Break the chains in out brains that made us fear yah
Pledge allegiance to a flag that neglects us
Honour a man that who refuses to respect us
"Emmancipation Proclamation?" Please!
Lincoln just said that to save the nation
These are lies that we all accepted
Say no to drugs but the governments' keep it
Running through our community, killing the unity
The war on drugs is a war on you and me
And yet they say this is the Home of The Free
But if you ask me, it's all about hyprocrisy
The constitution, Yo, it don't apply to me
Lady Liberty? Stupid bytch lied to me
Steady strong nobody's gonna like what I pumpin'
But its wrong to keeping someone from learning something
So get up, its time to start nation building
I'm fed up, we gotta start teaching childern
That they can be all that they wanna to be
There's much more to life than just poverty

[2Pac]
They claim that I'm violent, just cause I refuse to be silent
These hypocrites are havin fits, cause I'm not buyin it
Defyin it, envious because I will rebel against
any oppressor, and this is known as self defense
I show no mercy, they claim that I'm the lunatic
But when the shyt gets thick, I'm the one you go and get
Don't look confused, the truth is so plain to see
Cause I'm the nikka that you sell-outs are ashamed to be
In every Jeep and every car, brothers stomp this
I'm Never Ignorant, Getting Goals Accomplished
The underground railroad on an uprise
This time the truth's gettin told, heard enough lies
I told em fight back, attack on society
If this is violence, then violent's what I gotta be
If you investigate you'll find out where it's comin from
Look through our history, America's the violent one
Unlock my brain, break the chains of your misery
This time the payback for evil shyt you did to me
They call me militant, racist cause I will resist
You wanna censor somethin, motherfukker censor this!
My words are weapons, and I'm steppin to the silent
Wakin up the masses, but you, claim that I'm violent

It's about the material and the message and the realness. Cassidy and Fab both got bars yet they have no classics because it's about more than rhyming words.

Look, bytch nikkaz do what bytch nikkaz do. Is it Pac fans fault that he's been elevated? No!!! nikkaz always saying, oh he got big after death. No!!!Pac was the biggest hip hop star on the planet when he died. No biggie. Not jay z. Not nas. Redman, methid, none of these dudes. Down south, everybody rode wit pac. The only nikkaz down south that didn't was transplants from the east coast. Or the few lames who tried hard to act like they were from ny or whatever. CJ just looked real suspect. No, he did not prove his points. Don't get mad cuz ole boy shytted on your home town. The GOAT is just that. The shyt. Oh yeah, the nikka spit too. Add the passion to that and yeah, all real nikkaz felt that.

i said if you don't like what combat jack said then debate him...all tupac stans said "we don't need to prove points. All my points are proved cuz homes just said a lot of bullshyt" :russ: seriously shyt is not even made up then they go on to say "The only pac album that MAY not be a classic is strictly. Foh!!!!!"...:mjlol: as much as nikkas love pac they will never admit a lot of of songs from his albums (while alive) were trash...

2nd album
Growing up as an inner city brotha
where every other had a pops and a motha
I was tha product of a heated lover
Nobody knew how deep it screwed me
and since my pops never knew me
my family didn't know what ta do with me
was I somebody they despise
curious look in they eyes
as if they wonder if i'm dead or alive
poor momma can't control me
quit tryin' ta save my soul, I wanna roll with my homies
a ticken timebomb
can't nobody fade me
packin' a 380
and fiendin' for my mercedes
suckers scatter
but it don't matter i'm a cool shot
punks drop from all tha buckshots tha fools got
i'm tired of being a nice guy
i've been poor all my life, but don't know quite why
so they label me a lunatic
could care less
death or success
is what I quest
cause i'm fearless
now tha streetz R Deathrow

Reflected and disrespected, plus I'm rejected
You're just another rapper, who swears he's makin records
That's what they said - whenever I would walk by
I never tripped though - always kept my head up high
Eventually, I knew that I would find my way
After the darkest night, always comes a brighter day
And some would say, that turned away is all you'll get
I just said, "bet," and never let 'em see me sweat
Cause in the end, I knew that I would have it all
while non-believers, were prayin for my downfall
And some would call, and tell me that they wish me well
but in my heart, I'm knowin that they wish me hell
Yo get a real job, rappin doesn't pay the rent
I hate the studio cause that's where all my money went
Never surrender, it's all about the faith you've got
Don't ever stop, just push it til you hit the top
And if you drop, at least you know you gave your all
Be true to you, and that way you can never fall
But beware, these backstabbers ain't no joke
Just like a rope, they hang on you until you're broke
And when you're broke, they move onto the next dope
And there you are, can't even pay your car, nope
And when you reminisce, thinkin how you got dissed
remember how it felt, and then remember this
Be true to you, believe that there's no one bigger
Cause they can all suck dikk - it's strictly for my nikkaz

because music is more about text book lyrics.
If that was the case...Canibus, Ras Kass, and all the MCs like them should be at the top of everybody's GOAT list.
Its about relatability and realness...its something that got lost in Hip Hop when we started to accept fake bullshyt.

No other genre of music accepts the blatant lies, and chalks everything up to "its just entertainment".
Music has always been about the performer, and how they are able to connect w/ the listener.

Pac was the best at connecting w/ his audience.

You know what,us felllow pac fans don't have to trip. Pac did enough before he left to solidify his GOAT status. These fukk nikkas will never change that.
All of these nikkas have had plenty of time to remove him and they can't.
When pac dies, none of his friends moved on to become powerful riders fro pac,the way biggie's friend's did for him (jay/puff etc) yet 2pac's star is shining much brighter than big's currently.
Nas is a dope mc,one of the best but has he outshined pac,not even close.
Jay is the most successful rapper ever as far as back to back to back successful projects, being intertwined with every flavor of the moment artist over the last 18 years and he hasnt outshined pac.
Pac's status will remain eternal, and us pac fans HAVE NOTING TO WORRY ABOUT.
The people that look up to jay from a business perspective, look up to pac as a man an artist they'd love to be like. Jeezy: “I can’t prove anything to nobody in this game. Ain’t nobody in this game got my credentials,” said Jeezy. “It ain’t nothing to talk about. It’s me and Pac. That’s it, leave it there.” http://www.102jamz.com/Jeezy-Nobody-In-This-Game-Got-My-Credentials-It-s-/11277227?pid=419315&do=1
