What channel was WCW on back then? As a kid I only saw a video game with wcw on it. I looked at it as an inferior brand. I bet it got no ratings until Hogan came because that's when I actually payed attention to wcw and as a kid I loved it and it put wcw on the map for mainstream fans ...deal with it

WCW was on all the Turner networks. WCW Worldwide..WCW Saturday Night which used to always showcase some great shyt in the main event spot...Arn Anderson, Rick Rude, Sting, and Stunning Steve went wild on that show.

^yep. soon as bischoff came in with that direction, they took over the commercial side of wrestling as well until bishoff got a big head. and other factors as well, of course.

*sigh* If you are gonna try and sound smarter than everyone else, please, try to accomplish that feat. There is a lot you got wrong here...

Pick up any historical WCW documentary. Your whole world will open up. Then explode. The company had Horsemen, Sting, Luger, Midnight Express and others already mentioned. Vince even stole their spot on TBS in the 80's to improve his visibility.

Hell at one point World Class championship wrestling (you might not have ever heard of due to never having a videogame :rudy:) had more syndication than WWF at one point before the got on USA. But by your definition i guess WWF was a lesser brand then. Hogan is one of the biggest draws of all time but he didnt establish WCW. Learn your history, breh.

I know. TBS was fukked up like that. Always had the :why: face over those start times.

But Power Hour  That shyt was hot. Great way to kick off a Saturday morning before cartoons & Saved By The Bell. :lawd: The TV title was pretty much all over that show. Arn was putting in work on that show. I know he had some classics at 9:05.

i fell back a bit on cartoons when i started watching wrestling. saturrday mornings were all about wrestling when it wasnt football season.

power hour was also the show that would release the weekly rankings.

whenever people talk about wrestlewar '92, the focus always goes to the war games match. but the ppv itself was CLASSIC. and the match before war games was right up there with it.

this was a great steiners match...this was stiff as fukk....steiners were some taking liberties ass mufukkas man lol..and ive mentioned this before in the other TSC but :wow: at scott steiner...dude's moveset for a man his size was incredible and innovative....if only his prime wrestling ability and his poppa pump persona ever crossed paths....

^yep. scott steiner was the best worker on american soil back then.

its too bad that he didnt tap into his commercially appealing persona until after he fell off.
