Hahahahaha, I'm just telling you what homie said, I ain't tweet it :laff:

I think his thought process was probably more along the lines of "what black owned water brand could help Flint right now? Probably Sean Diddy Combs!" (Trying to use all his names in this one thread) :yeshrug:

If you pour water out your tap, some golden brown liquid comes out and you proceed to drink it then honestly you deserve whatever happens to you.

:childplease:Shut the fukk up. Nobody in America in 2015-16 expects Lead in their drinking water. That is some third world, communist China bullshyt. Plus the Governor knowingly allowed a whole community to be poisoned for a whole year in order to save some dollars.

Basically Environmental racism. Environmental racism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Crowd calls for Mich. gov.'s arrest in protest at his home
USA TODAY NETWORKDaniel Bethencourt, Detroit Free Press11:40 p.m. EST January 18, 2016

Flint native and director talked to a crowd of 150 about the ongoing Flint water crisis that is affecting thousands of people. Eric Seals/DFP

DETROIT — A day before Gov. Rick Snyder’s annual State of the State address, about 60 protesters gathered outside his apartment in downtown Ann Arbor and chanted for his arrest.

“Many of us think this governor has committed a crime, and want to see justice for Flint,” said Jan BenDor, who helped organize Monday's protest and led a failed recall effort against Snyder in 2011. “If that whole city could be poisoned, it could happen to any of us.”

The protesters marched from the University of Michigan’s campus in 12-degree weather, at times blocking passing cars, before they arrived at Snyder’s voting address in the area of East Washington and South Main Street. There, the marchers circled the block repeatedly while chanting “Justice for Flint! Arrest Rick Snyder!”

The protest was at least the third rally since Saturday, when President Obama declared a state of emergency in Flint. The declaration came after local officials admitted the city’s water supply had been contaminated with lead for months.

On Saturday, Michael Moore drew a couple of hundred people to Flint’s City Hall where the activist filmmaker and Flint native accused Snyder of intentionally poisoning the water. Then on Sunday, the Rev. Jesse Jackson demanded justice at a packed church in Flint, and dubbed the entire city “a crime scene.”

Flint's drinking water became contaminated with lead after the city, in 2014, switched its supply source from Lake Huron water treated by the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department to more corrosive and polluted Flint River water, treated at the Flint water treatment plant.

Residents' complaints about the taste, odor and appearance of the water, which began immediately after the switch, were largely ignored by state officials.

In response to the intense criticism, Snyder said at a news conference last week that officials are taking every action to address the problem. “This is something you wish that never happened, and let’s see that it never happens again in the state of Michigan,” he said.

The rhetoric at Monday’s protest was similar, though perhaps even more pointed, than protests in the past few days. BenDor, the organizer, said of Snyder: “He’s dangerous. He has absolutely no empathy for human beings. It’s all about the money.”

And speaking just before the march on Monday, Flint native Jeff Brown echoed Jackson’s comments that the city is a crime scene and added, “(Flint) is deteriorating, and it makes us all very angry. He (Snyder) should be arrested.”

Glad there is a thread sticked here for this.

I just want to point out how easy it is for the states to crumble and literally go into anarchy. The semblance of order and control is so fragile is laughable, and with how, reliant we are now on being consumer and how lazy we've got when it comes to instant gratification. It wouldn't take long until people started killing, looting and raping over candy bars and boredom.

Can you imagine being caught with some of these coli nikka's in a time of strife?

Anyway its sad that in 2016 in the US a whole younger generation of people are going to be affected some way because of contaminated water.

@pickles so I'm a cac for having a pair of eyeballs and half a brain to recognise that this water isn't safe for drinking :comeon:

:childplease: You don't think the residents of Flint realized that? They have been complaining that the color, taste, smell of the water has changed, and the authorities kept insisting the water was safe to drink. Like I said, yeah you can buy bottled water, but you still have to bathe in that tap water. This is causing people to get rashes, lose their hair etc. 10 cases of Legionnaire's disease was reported.

First of all don't ever mention me again, I am above you in every single way.

A look at some of the key events in the development of the Flint water crisis:

___

APRIL 2014: In an effort to save money, Flint begins drawing its water from the Flint River instead of relying on water from Detroit. The move is considered temporary while the city waits to connect to a new regional water system. Residents immediately complain about the smell, taste and appearance of the water. They also raise health concerns, reporting rashes, hair loss and other problems.

SUMMER 2014: Three boil-water advisories are issued in 22 days after positive tests for coliform bacteria.

OCTOBER 2014: A General Motors engine plant stops using Flint water, saying it rusts parts.

JANUARY 2015: Flint seeks an evaluation of its efforts to improve the water amid concerns that it contains potentially harmful levels of a disinfection byproduct. Detroit offers to reconnect Flint to its water system. Flint insists its water is safe.

JAN. 28: Flint residents snap up 200 cases of bottled water in 30 minutes in a giveaway program. More giveaways will follow in ensuing months.

FEB. 3: State officials pledge $2 million for Flint’s troubled water system.

FEBRUARY: A 40-member advisory committee is formed to address concerns over Flint’s water. Mayor Dayne Walling says the committee will ensure the community is involved in the issue.

MARCH 19: Flint promises to spend $2.24 million on immediate improvements to its water supply.

MARCH 27: Flint officials say the quality of its water has improved and that testing finds the water meets all state and federal standards for safety.

SEPT. 24: A group of doctors led by Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha of Hurley Medical Center urges Flint to stop using the Flint River for water after finding high levels of lead in the blood of children. State regulators insist the water is safe.

SEPT. 29: Gov. Rick Snyder pledges to take action in response to the lead levels. It’s the first acknowledgment by the state that lead is a problem.

OCT. 2: Snyder announces that the state will spend $1 million to buy water filters and test water in Flint public schools.

OCT. 8: Snyder calls for Flint to go back to using water from Detroit’s system again.

OCT. 15: The Michigan Legislature and Snyder approve nearly $9.4 million in aid to Flint, including $6 million to help switch its drinking water back to Detroit. The legislation also includes money for water filters, inspections and lab testing.

NOV. 3: Voters elect newcomer Karen Weaver over incumbent Mayor Dayne Walling amid fallout over the drinking water.

DEC. 29: Snyder accepts the resignation of Department of Environmental Quality Director Dan Wyant and apologizes for what occurred in Flint.

JAN. 5: Snyder declares a state of emergency in Flint, the same day federal officials confirm that they are investigating.

JAN. 12: Snyder activates the Michigan National Guard to help distribute bottled water and filters in Flint and asks the federal government for help.

JAN. 13: Michigan health officials report an increase in Legionnaires’ disease cases during periods over the past two years in the county that includes Flint.

JAN. 14: Snyder asks the Obama administration for major disaster declaration and more federal aid.

JAN. 16: President Barack Obama signs emergency declaration and orders federal aid for Flint, authorizing the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security to coordinate relief efforts.

I needed to read this ..... needed.
