Selling old product to customers who are unlikely to complain saves them money vs. throwing that product away. Adding lead to a product to intentionally kill the people who are buying that product would cost money in both the short and long terms.

Furthermore, those diet cokes were sweetened with aspartame, which breaks down i after a certain amount of time on the shelf.... and the shyt is beyond unhealthy after that point
