They actually tried to get Frank Darabont to change the ending to something "happier". He was like :heh: "get the fukk outta here" so they cut his budget. That's why the monsters look kinda cheap in certain scenes.

What's funny is if he drove the other way they would've been saved. He was driving away from help the whole movie.

They should've called this movie "The Big L Story".

I dunno breh. :manny:

They never did in the book. There is no "big L" of him killing his kid/everyone in the car but the last page is just him and his kid driving to look for survivors in a nearby town. No army, no tanks, nothing. It's basically the end of the world.

That shyt was like a Walking Dead reunion. I was :ohhh: when I saw Dale and Andrea. Same thing seeing Deputy Marshall Givens and da GAWD Brody chillin' in Dreamcatcher. :salute:

Frank Darabont was the director of "The Mist" and the showrunner for season 1 of "The Walking Dead". He wanted to use some of the same actors.

Maybe you already knew that though. :manny:

Yeah, I had seen The Mist way before ever getting into Walking Dead, then saw it again a few months ago and saw the connection.

No, the original Stephen King's ending was anticlimactic. They drove off into the mist and it was up in the air whether they survived or not.

As for the movie's ending even Stephen Kings said he was shocked and that he should have thought of that conclusion. shyt was brutal.
