it's unnecessary. There isn't enough space and even if they tried to force it in somewhere, the traffic would be horrendous. Theres a reason why Giants play in Jersey and why Dallas plays in Arlington.

Dallas situation is far different than Washington. Dallas was about politics and money. Dallas has plenty of room. This is Texas cities we are talking about.

Northern VA can never hold a football team. To much fukking people for the roads already as it is. They turned down Disney because they wanted to build a History amusement park here.

It already takes me 30 Mintues to go 7 miles.......I'll pass

Mr swag with more ether

People who raise this point are usually referring to a poll conducted by Sports Illustrated in 2002. The results were published in this article, and here's the key passage: "Asked if they were offended by the name Redskins, 75% of Native American respondents in SI’s poll said they were not, and even on reservations, where Native American culture and influence are perhaps felt most intensely, 62% said they weren’t offended. Overall, 69% of Native American respondents — and 57% of those living on reservations — feel it’s OK for the Washington Redskins to continue using the name."

Mods close thread. I never wanna see this bullshyt discussed again unless they pass some basic history tests

my bad. I know this is the case for the Giants, I assumed it was the same for Dallas.

Land is a high premium in these major east coast cities with little space left. could you imagine them trying to put a football stadium in the middle of downtown Manhattan? all the construction and the traffic on game days would be  status

marion barry is the mayor for life, but the gray knows if he can get the skins back to DC his legacy will be right below barry no matter how much shyt they dig up on him. dont be fooled by this name change BS either. thats just to appease the "outraged activists." he knows that name aint getting changed.

heard theyre talking about the old rfk as the site. i know they had thrown around the old FBI downtown. woulda been tight if they had used the old convention center before they drew up their metropolis plans. woulda had the skins, wiz, caps & the new convention center all w/i blocks of the center of the city. and w/ the extra money he would get snyder could pay for real grass upkeep.

yeah, the old convention center where the new "city center" and big ass parking lot is. there was enough room down there. woulda had to get creative w/ parking, but you cant get much more central than that.

They had a plan for manhattan. That's why the rendering was there. They were going to put it somewhere. There's not many places you could have put the stadim near downtown Dallas. But you can put it somewhere in the city. I agree with the DC council member. Teams should play in the actual city. Dallas, Miami, and New York should play in the actual cities instead of the suburbs.

South Dallas for one. Even Irving again was better.
