Amazing that a football town like DC doesn't have a football stadium, yet they used taxpayers money for a baseball stadium that only suburbanites from VA care about.

I live in the United States
Everything you wrote is ignorant...but since you like adorning your cape for the "redskins" .....cape on uncle ruckus...I am sure they would love to use your skin for clipboards and arm chairs around "redskins" executive offices. Cape on Ruckus!
Wow, that is a really articulate reply to what Mr.Swag said :aicmon:
Then why does every Native American under the sun hate that name? :rudy:
I thought indians were not too plentiful, but you talked to all of them :leon:
Where would they put a stadium is the question.
They could blow up RFK

DC Government needs to focus on other things... these nikkas are king of ineptitude.

Fedex Field just needs better field conditions.

it's unnecessary. There isn't enough space and even if they tried to force it in somewhere, the traffic would be horrendous. Theres a reason why Giants play in Jersey and why Dallas plays in Arlington.

Mar. 10: Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke finally got the welcome he wanted from Maryland today when Gov. William Donald Schaefer and legislative leaders wiped away major political obstacles to Cooke's dream of a 78,600-seat stadium in Laurel.

Apr. 21: Jack Kent Cooke's proposal to build a $160 million stadium for the Washington Redskins in Laurel went from a vision to an official plan yesterday when the team owner formally began the zoning process in Anne Arundel County.

July 12: Both sides walked away smiling yesterday from the first day of zoning hearings on the Washington Redskins' proposed stadium in Laurel.

Oct. 13: An Anne Arundel County hearing officer rejected the Washington Redskins' plan for a new football stadium near Laurel yesterday, prompting frustrated team owner Jack Kent Cooke to call D.C. mayoral candidate Marion Barry about keeping the team in town after all.

Damn. I live in Laurel. I couldn't imagine the stadium being up here at the old race track :ohhh:

:beli:we love the nats, sorry for not packing the stadium in a then-underdeveloped part of town during 100 loss seasons

and

skins shoulda never moved in the first place. but now its too late. city gov't somehow agreeing on this would clearly signify that they'd all win by fukking over residents

Jack Kent Cooke wanted to stay in DC. DC itself wouldn't play ball. He then wanted to move to Potomac Yards, but Alexandria would rather have traffic jams every weekend going into a shopping center rather than 8 times a year for football games. That pretty much left Maryland as the only option.
