I hope one day we get the story of how that call between Steph and CP went when the trade went though
Chris Paul is one the few players I genuinely dislike. I wanted him to retire ringless and go off into obscurity ungraciously. The problem is I wanted Steph to get another ring but now if Steph wins, Paul wins.
fukk that fat ass dikk grabbing fakkit.
a lot of the negativity stems from the fact that they salary dumped poole to get CP0. it's a bad trade. If they could get CP0 another way, outside of giving up draft capital, i'd be fine But this trade stinks for GSWYup and I’m excited about it. A lot of the negativity in this thread won’t age well.
Let’s look at it this way. Two years ago you were willing to salary dump Wiggins while attaching picks. That type of trade is more appropriate for Poole than Wiggins.a lot of the negativity stems from the fact that they salary dumped poole to get CP0. it's a bad trade. A lot can change in 2 yearsLet’s look at it this way. Two years ago you were willing to salary dump Wiggins while attaching picks. That type of trade is more appropriate for Poole than Wiggins.
I won’t form an opinion on what CP3 has left in the tank until the season starts. I don’t want to believe that he is completely washed. Not for old ass CP0
if all you can get in a trade for a young 20ppg scorer is a 38 year old over the hill role player, then:I won’t form an opinion on what CP3 has left in the tank until the season starts. I don’t want to believe that he is completely washed.
All I know is that whenever Poole entered the game during the lakers series this post season, I knew that the team was about to lose momentumif all you can get in a trade for a young 20ppg scorer is a 38 year old over the hill role player, then:
1. the young player shouldn't have been paid such a large contract
OR
2. the FO should have been much better in negotiating/evaluating talent
OR
3. Both options 1 and 2
the way the warriors FO compounds bad decision on bad decision is incredible. CP0 isnt bad per se, but for what you gave up, the return is abysmal
this is very true. but im sure the FO was so bad at negotiating that they couldn't find a better dealAll I know is that whenever Poole entered the game during the lakers series this post season, I knew that the team was about to lose momentum
That 20 points per game is cool in the regular season but he was putting up like 7 points with no defense in the playoffs.
