I didn’t watch 227, but I don't recall The Cosby show having a dark skin female lead and a light skinned sidekick

Family Matters,and everybody know how fine Myra was. Maxine was also the sidekick.

Fresh Prince,Dark skinned Aunt Vivian was a powerful educated woman. But Hillary was dumb as hell.

The show wasn’t colorist. Pam gave as good as she took. Her character was made for the back and forth banter with Martin. If folks remember they secretly/ not so secretly had mad love/respect for each other. Her character doesn’t need to be victimized .. when she wasn’t a victim.

Also everyone knew Pam was attractive she pulled nikkas, cleaned up nice on the show, believe they called her juicy booty JUNK (in the trunk), the jokes was just that jokes. The truth is also that even though Martin was with Gina he had a thing for Pam. Hence the jokes and the dream episode.

Man, they always went out of their way to have both Pam and Gina looking good, whether they were in their workout gear or professional outfits. And both had entire episodes written about dudes trying to get with them. Revisionist history

Martin and Pam went at each other over their looks cuz that was their thing to play up their hate of each other, but all of the other men on the show were sweating Pam fiercely. It would be one thing if the show itself tried to make it seem like Pam was unattractive, rather than it just being Martin getting at his gfs best friend for jokes, but it was clear that Pam was considered fine by everyone else in the show other than Martin. And even then they had an episode where Martin was attracted to Pam and kept dreaming about smashing.
