you can't just say this guy is > than this guy so the present stars would win... I'll entertain this for a minute... let's say you got

Magic
MJ
Pip
Malone
D. Rob

bench

Bird
Stockton
Ewing
Mullin
Barkley

vs. , like you said:

Chris Paul
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Durant
LeBron James
Dwight Howard

Derrick Rose
Dwyane Wade
Tyson Chandler
Carmelo Anthony
Kevin Love
Chris Bosh
Deron Williams

the very first thing that sticks out is the height advantage Magic would have over CP3, he'd eat him alive in the post... you'd have trouble hiding CP3 on the court because of his size, almost a guaranteed bucket every time down the court... secondly, Dwight would have to respect D.Rob/Ewing's ability to hit open J's, so he'd be drawn out of the paint, meaning that it would be open season for MJ along with Magic/Malone pick and rolls

on the defensive end, again, Magic would tower over CP3 making the pick and roll that much harder... Pippen in his prime is arguably the greatest perimeter defender ever, and that's with him knowing he also was the 2nd option on offense... if you tell Pip all he has to concentrate on is checking Durant on D, it would be tough for KD to get going... MJ would absolutely abuse this old, broken version of Kobe on both ends of the floor... Lebron would have the obvious mismatch vs Malone, but Malone would have D.Rob/Ewing behind him guarding the paint because Dwight's offensive game is ass

it wouldn't really be all that close IMO, the current team's offense would look sloppy as hell considering Dwight's offensive game is ass, CP3 would have to shoot over the bigger Magic, Lebron would need the ball in his hands to do damage, Kobe would be shut down by Jordan, and KD would have Pip on him... scoring in the half court wouldn't come too easy for them

what, is CP3 playing against 5'7 players now? :comeon:

Magic in 1992 was on his death bed breh, he was barely moving.

who in the world would stop a trio of Durant-LeBron-Kobe,
with Wade, D-Rose, CP3, Dwight,

stop bein stuck in the 90s breh, Today's players are faster, stronger, more athletic and just better.

this always turns into a 90s vs modern era discussion. we dont need another one of these threads. theres nothing nostalgic about saying a team of 90s cats would fukking roast the best of any other era.

throwing a squad out there like
the glove
mj
pippen
dream at the 4
shaq

charles fukking barkley, the admiral, karl malone, stockton etc coming off the pine? rodman gooning it up as the 12th man and shyt. lets just let this thread vanish to the second page

shyt wouldn't even be fair.

dogg, Magic is 6'9, he'd tower over CP3's short ass... on his death bed? Magic was a year removed from averaging 19, 13 and 7... even if he wasn't the same player, he wouldn't have to be... the Kobe of today would look helpless against a prime MJ on both ends of the floor, you're overestimating him at this stage of his career... KD would have trouble with Pip locked in on D and the lane would be clogged by D. Rob/Ewing so Lebron would have to settle for outside shots, limiting his advantage against Malone... Ewing could consistently knock down 15-18 foot J's AND drive around you and dunk on your head, when the fukk has Dwight ever had to guard someone like that? He'd get shytted on

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Chris Paul
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Durant
LeBron James
Dwight Howard

Derrick Rose
Dwyane Wade
Tyson Chandler
Carmelo Anthony
Kevin Love
Chris Bosh
Deron Williams..

not saying they would beat the Dream Team, but if you put all the nostalgic shyt to the side,,, this team would more than compete with the Dream Team.

The problem with the current dream team, vs the former ones is and will continue to be the difference in quality of centers.

Ewing and D-Rob would teabag Dwight and Chandler, Shaq and Hakeem vs Dwight/Bosh/Chandler at the same time wouldn't be fair.

so, if good players go to all star games and appear on all nba teams for over a decade, wheres the line drawn to turn those "good" players into great players? you claimed ewing and the admiral were on chris bosh and lamarcus levels as players. lamarcus aldridge has appeared in 1 more all star game and been on 1 more all nba team than i have. how is he anywhere in the realm of guys like ewing and robinson?

exactly my point.. we were shytting on David Robinson, Ewing, Mullen, and those guys back then.. now 20 years later, all of a sudden they are God-Like?

them nikkas were Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson, Lamarcus Alridge status back then.

:beli:

We got people going :ooh::gladbron::ahh::ohhh::myman::krs::smugdraper: over Dwight and Bynum's play but you :upsetfavre: to Robinson?

As a rookie he put up 24/12/2/2/4.

The year BEFORE he won MVP, he put up 30/11/5/2/3.

You say Hakeem ate his lunch? Dwight is nowhere close to Hakeem.

As scary as it sounds, the team would have been better if Larry Bird, Christian Laettner, and Chris Mullin werent on the team.

Add MJ to Dream Team 3 for Reggie Miller and that team would have beaten the original squad.

There's only maybe 3 legit centers in the league today and Howard stays in foul trouble against these bums. What the centers would do down low in the paint alone discredits this notion.

Kevin Durant, LeBron, Kobe, Dwight, D-Rose, CP3, would of ran a muck on these old ass nikkas. (and remember im saying in 1992, not while they were in there prime)

You're comparing D Rob and Ewing to CB4 and LeMarcus?

Bosh has never come close to winning MVP like D Rob nor will he ever win 2 rings being the 2nd star on a team like Robinson, nor is he or will he ever be half the interior defender or scorer Robinson was.

And when has Aldridge led an average roster to the finals once and contributed to a second run at the championship like Ewing did? LeMarcus aint lighting a candle next to Ewings defensive presence either.

Fukk outta here :pacspit::pacspit::pacspit:
