Was Rotten Apple that bad of an album?

Or was it just the timing in 06 and g-unit's popularity dipping? The album isn't that much worse than HFM, and I know this wasn't supposed to be the real album (Big withdraw), but it had bangers:

Cake
Make a move
You Know the deal
Gilmore's
stranger
get clapped

I even liked Hand up and Help as singles, but I get it that others weren't feeling them and I'm not even including other joints on there that could be subjective good songs...

Out of everything G-Unit released I hated that Banks album the most. Utter rubbish.

Some good songs, but it was a 7/10 album. Might sound better today though.

It's not terrible but at the time and considering how much better Hunger For More was and Banks' overall skill level, it was definitely a major let down. There were songs in the vault that could've made it much better than it was. It was bloated and had way too much filler without enough stand outs.

Honestly I like this album cuz of what’s on it. The hate was real at that time yea it wasn’t better then hfm but the best tracks on it are upto par with hfm. 3/5

he kind of has to scrap some tracks together towards the end. I think the original sounded better(it’s somewhere online)

It’s a completely different album it’s called big withdraw it’s like 21 tracks it would’ve prolly been slimmed down to 16 tracks for the final tracklist.

It was a good album, but not to the level we expected at the time.

He came hard on both of his solo songs on the Get Rich OST so I was expecting some hard street shyt.

The intro with Prodigy and produced by Havoc was fire though. Havoc should have produced a lot more for The Unit.

The singles off the album were trash....Hands Up was probably one of the worst songs of Banks career and they tried to push it but it didn’t hit.

Overall, it had some gems on it but the quality of songs weren’t as good as HFM or anything that was on The Big Withdrawal.

The game had changed too much by then, and they were using the old 2004/2005 formula. The Big Withdraw would have flopped even harder. But, by G-Unit and Banks standards, it's about the same tier as Hunger For More, it's just no one cared anymore.
