Was Meek Mill’s Drake diss really that bad? I never thought it was trash as people said.

his flow and energy was off in the track and it was hard to make out what he was saying off first listen, the second half sounded better but was way too short

Just was too little too late and I was a heavy meek fan at that time but he lost

And that was Meek's biggest problem that whole beef.

He shot first and asked questions last. He went into that beef strictly based off emotion and no strategy.

Crash Dummy Meek was doing the bidding of Diddy and Jigga. Didn't work out :mjlol:

They doubles back two years later and sent Pusha at him. Mission accomplished

I was hyped and I lowkey always fukked with that Undertaker sample. shytty thing for Meek is he already lost due to public perception before he even dropped it, then you add in he couldn't really release it due to the sample clearance issues.

:yeshrug: I liked War Pain. Plus, him forever tainting Drake’s legacy and ranking among top rappers will always supersede your opinion of his responses anyways. All Drake’s best projects were handed to him by other artists (The Weeknd, Quentin Miller, Anthony Palman, etc).

I mean, even right now he’s strong holding Lil Yachty for music. His name will always be synonymous with ghostwriters. So how does that old saying go? “You may have won the battle, but you haven’t won the war”. Well, in hindsight, Meek won the war.

Meek got clowned so much on social by the time he dropped that record it didn't matter much.

He had to drop an "Ether" level type of track to redeem himself at that time.

Edit: I felt that "War Pain" was better, but again the damage was already done.

This is it

Everyone that was there knew that the memes are what won it for Drake in the end. Not to mention B2B being played in every club

Meek was on Twitter acting goofy the whole time and came with a mid diss. Ain’t no recovering from that. Drake getting back cool with a dude who put the writer stain on his record will always be weird to me :francis:

Wanna Know was a trash ass dumpster fire that dropped too late. War Pain was TOUGH and that’s what he should’ve dropped instead.
