I'm a big fan of N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN's Drink Champs Podcast..
I always hear artists praising the War Report album on the Podcast, always giving props to NORE saying it was a classic when it Dropped..
Is this true?
Me being from the South, I never heard much about it

I personally didn't hear much about it other than LA, LA cuz of the East West beef, but I was mad young and not in NY. The way NORE blew up out of "nowhere" in 97/98 I assume a lot of people fukked with it..

It was a classic album that was revered in new york and up and down the east coast

CNN was like an add-on to the legacy mobb deep had created

Album lowkey incited riots and was the first time i seen the physical manifest between brooklyn and queens, which are neighboring boroughs.

nore taking a more comical approach the next year 1998 was what made him a super star

war report was a very underground record in 1997 - a great album but not a heavy hitter in terms of radio / car play

also everybody was super jiggy out in 1997 and they weren't but they weren't really calling out jiggy rappers like a jeru the damja or something
