Buff wasn't bad by any means.... but he was NEVER gonna become world heavyweight champion. Buff was middle/upper mid card status at best that you could put midcard titles on him on occasion.
No not even close. This thread being made and TSC voting Buff Bagwell so low on the rate a wrestler list is proof that he was a GREAT HEEL.
He objectively was always mildly over and was VERY over from 98-99, and was always a decent mechanic in the ring. If you hate him and think he sucks its because you hate his character and think it's really him.
If you're looking at it from the perspective of knowing wrestling is fake and a business, then no.

If I’m not mistaken, in 10 years he was never even TV champ or US champ though.
He won 5 tag titles with 4 different partners.
He also won WON’s most embarrassing wrestler award for 2001.

I agree.. Maybe not the most useless, but I remember all the times they tried to repackage the guy into something...he used to be a promising blue chipper at least in my eyes when he was super young...but by the time they had him in the American Males you could tell it was gonna go one way or the other with him..he seems like he mighta just be content being there...as WCW filled the roster with bigger/better names all he could do was tread water and he doesnt seem like he pushed to be any bigger than he was.
add that to the fact that he's a complete bro and came out in the mid to late 90s when bro humor was at an all time high. he was the lowest common denominator of bro'dem. he made DX seem high brow.
