Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga has lost faith in Steve Kerr and no longer believes that Kerr will allow him to reach his full potential, Shams

I remember our game. Bilal is athletic. But Wiggins and Kuminga neutralized him. When Boston played warriors Wiggins on the wing neutralized Tatum.

These brehs being reduced to role players but they kinda are tough. This dude was a top pick getting dnp in a game that he could have helped them avoid the play in. If I'm him I'm mentally checked out. GS chased every small forward they had out of town. Barnes, KD, Wiggins, Kuminga..

They might need him in the games coming up and he might tank them purposely
Inconsistency just doesn't work on vet lead teams trying to win. So while you caught Kuminga on a good day, fans and the coaches that watch the Warriors every night have a better temperature on a player.

These wings that pass the measurable and athleticism tests in the draft need to go to young teams that are developing because when they go to teams like this, they cannot process just playing the game in structure unless they have high BBIQ. I can't think of many RAW talents that ended up going to a veteran team that just clicked their time there. It doesn't happen often.

I get it. As a warriors fan I’m sure you’ve seen this repeatedly and are just over it. He can be definitely be valuable somewhere else next year. Guess we’ll have to see.
this is a lot of it. I'm tired of the "two timelines" and the constant player narratives that have been going on since the warriors won in 2022. I'm sick of it for real

However, i cannot see any way Kuminga makes it as an all-star in the NBA. But ur right, MAYBE he becomes a decent starter on a playoff team. But it wont happen unless he understands the fundamentals that come with winning basketball :manny:

It’s how I am with guys like tyus jones and Grayson Allen. Probably would be productive somewhere else but I’ve just seen them be totally useless for away too long. If kuminga ends up like wiseman then nikkas were right lol

See that’s where I disagree. Wiseman always sucked. I’ve seen kuminga be really good. I watched him takeover a game and drop 38 this year. I believe those intangible/fundamental things are magnified when you have a coach who won’t modify anything to fit you in offensively. Most young guys do those things better when they are included. We legit can’t see what’s he would be with Steve Kerr. He’s too stuck on predictable Steph offense, and that showed last night. You need a dynamic player like him and Jimmy to mix shyt up. Kerr doesn’t fw him and he doesn’t fw kerr. All that other basic basketball stuff isn’t gonna happen when you do guys like this. Personally seen it in Phoenix all year.
Do what? Cut and rebound?

We've vastly underrated cutting, rebounding and just high effort play when evaluating players. We just say, "He just needs to rebound and cut and he'll provide value" but the thing is, those are real skills that some players just do not have. It can be due to their low BBIQ and just understanding timing and spacing on when to cut... it could be due to lack of confidence when actually getting opportunities to finish at the rim (some players know they suck at finishing at the rim so why cut when I can just spot up for a 3)

It's like Ben Simmons and shooting jump shots. He's just not going to do it over night. The same goes for rebounding and cutting. If it's not something a player has done or if it's not something that's been a part of their game, it rarely just happens once they're in the league unless we're dealing with HIGH BBIQ players who truly can adapt and adjust their playing style to fit with other NBA talent.

I don’t know how you can watch Kuminga play over a significant sample size of games and think he’s a winning player. Dude is a basketball cretin.
He'd have stans if he played on a tanking team that wasn't competing for anything.

He feels like a potential great tank commander and a clutch fantasy basketball guy towards the end of the season if he lands on a terrible squad.

It’s a skill 100% but’s it’s largely willingness and effort. He lacks effort at times it seems and I think that’s relationship with the staff and their lack of belief in him. Some of it is on him too no doubt. But hey, if he’s Deandre Ayton then fukk him.

nikkaS CLEARLY DON'T
WATCH HIM REGULARLY.

THEY LOOK AT HIS STATS.
THEY KNOW HES TALL AND
HAS SOME ATHLETICISM
SO THEY ASSUME KERR IS
HOLDING HIM BACK.

I OBVIOUSLY BEGAN TO WATCH
EVERY WARRIOR GAME SINCE
JIMMY ARRIVED AND I CAN SAY
KUMINGA IS A TERRIBLE BASKETBALL PLAYER.

THERES NO REASON
TO STILL BE THIS RAW
AFTER 4 YEARS IN THE LEAGUE.
