As a white American guy (I'm sorry. I mean "cac"), I'm wondering if someone can give real examples of "ethnic" names. I want to know mainly from those who say they don't want to give their kids white names. What are some good names in your opinion?
I'm Muslim, so my kids all have Islamic/Arabic names, some more "ethnic" than others.
Smart move. People are going to call him a c00n, but it's a small thing to do to increase your kid's chances at employment.
I understand the logic and he's right. Couldn't be me though. My children will be black, it will already come with some struggle. I'm not about to give them a white name to make it easy on them, just like I won't procreate with a white woman because a lighter skin will make their boss more comfortable.
This. Corporate America is racist. They will hold a name against you instead of your credentials.
I know thecoli will call me a c00n but I agree with him the name doesn't have to be white per say but they do have computers that will screen out certain names before a human even look at an app..
Please, all ethnicities have had to conform to American. I grew up in multi ethnic communities in Silver Spring MD. Lots of Asian and Indian people had American first names which are nicknames for some long winded ethnic name kids couldn't pronounce and made fun of. Stop targeting nikkas with this shyt.
You do know that the House of Hasburg, which is Austrian meaning a Germanic people birthed the Spanish Royals right?
Habsburg Spain - Wikipedia
History of Spain - Wikipedia
The house that unified Spain is Germanic so what does that make the Spanish Royals?
Aren't all the people inhabiting Spain Germanic historically? They aren't Roman.
Also you mean Europide ethinic right?
Breh, I already said what Sapp did was lame. I'm focusing just on the resume aspect of it because I've seen it myself, not the birth certificate and SS card.
I'm only saying there are clear cut studies that show that you have a MUCH better chance if you put a whiter sounding name on your resume. When I say put your kids on, I'm saying is put a nickname in their job applications. That's it. Sometimes you have to cheat the game to win.
I'm Haitian and my kids are definitely getting French names
