It's very slowly happening in Texas. GOP has been looking for ways to cheat for a while now. They see the trends. In about 2-3 election cycles TX could be purple. People laugh at that now. Yes there are a lot of backwoods folks in red areas but TX is experiencing blue voting transplants that are causing an undenial trend in the voting numbers. And these folks in these rural areas are older and dying out. That's not to wish death or applaud it. Just stating facts.
Correct, we have been absolutely flooded with Californians but also work from home has allowed city dwellers to move to the countryside where it’s cousin fk country and still be able to keep their large paychecks from Cali. Beto lost to Cruz by 2.5% (I don’t think he will get that close again, it’s obvious Beto isn’t going to be the guy) and that was the warning shot that this state is eventually headed towards super blue like NY & Cali. Once that happens we will probably see electoral college fuccery to keep the fly over states relevant.
Dems really fkd up not holding the House, that would’ve been their “mandate” that the GOP was using to ram the fkn Supreme Court Bench in the ass and then try to repeal Obamacare (which will now never happen because of John McCain of all people :skip: )

Yeah there was a lot of split voting (ie people who voted for Kemp and Warnock). I would think many of those split voters just couldn't bring themselves to vote for Walker and they were already in the voting booth. However, will they be motivated to go out again and vote for Warnock who they probably aren't really excited about either?

"It’s clear some split-ticket voting took place, too, as Gov. Brian Kemp, who sailed to reelection against Abrams, earned over 2.11 million voters versus Walker’s 1.91 million."

With the record-breaking early voting, what GOPer would vote for Herschel at this point? MAGA already took a massive L in these midterms.

McCain saw where shyt was going. He also wasn't a sore loser. A lot of old style conservatives have retired or walked away. They see the party declining and I'm sure they had data showing voting trends. A slow slide to the abyss is still a slide.

Yeah losing the House sucked but it's the first midterms after a president is elected. He actually by all means should have lost them both. The fact that didn't happen( and the fact the margin in the House is small) spells trouble in 2024 for the right and they know it.
