The fact that Obama can campaign in Georgia with zero fear of riling up republicans, while Trump can’t without riling up democrats and moderates, speaks volumes about the direction the state is headed in.

It's very slowly happening in Texas. GOP has been looking for ways to cheat for a while now. They see the trends. In about 2-3 election cycles TX could be purple. People laugh at that now. Yes there are a lot of backwoods folks in red areas but TX is experiencing blue voting transplants that are causing an undenial trend in the voting numbers. And these folks in these rural areas are older and dying out. That's not to wish death or applaud it. Just stating facts.
