Just makes this whole thing ridiculous.why even send Pompeo like he's doing something, if it's a cover job and a blatant one then just say hey, we don't care this guy was chopped up, we getting all this money, let them figure it out. Instead he tries to say there will be severe consequences, blah blah.actually, its remarkably transparent. Most administrations would just ambiguously refer to the nature of the situation.
This is REALPOLITIK.
Frankly this was always going to happen. Technically, the Saudi's "handled" a Saudi Citizen on "Saudi soil"
Abiy just gonna let the akh rot huh? What happened to he is coming home?free al-amoudi
idk this was from May no updates since thenAbiy just gonna let the akh rot huh? What happened to he is coming home?

But if they can chop up a saudi citizen with deep ties to the royal family on foreign soil it raises a lot of questions. What if he isnt even alive
Probably not true but you never know with Trump
"dont worry mr. trump. itll be just like that time they blew up a busload of kids and kidnapped a foreign head of state. no big deal :rudychin:""Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law and Middle East adviser, has been urging the president to stand by Prince Mohammed, according to a person close to the White House and a former official with knowledge of the discussions.
Mr. Kushner has argued that the outrage over Mr. Khashoggi’s disappearance and possible killing will pass, just as it did after other Saudi errors like the kidnapping of the prime minister of Lebanon and the killing of a busload of children in Yemen by a Saudi airstrike."
