I've been saying this from last year, Meek gonna leave MMG sooner or later.

He's kinda like 50, once he's in a space to make his own moves he gonna kill all the competition on some rap shyt

It's not cool at all, however Chronic is top 3 of all times :blessed: and Puff and the family + The Chronic were two of the biggest albums of the 90s.

That shyt is not flying in this generation. :sas2:

Yea, both those albums you mentioned are very dope (Chronic being one of the best ever) but NOBODY ever considered Dre or Puff serious MCs. A n!gga can spit ghostwritten rhymes, put out quality product but still wouldn't be considered a top MC back in the day.

I'm assuming he read the complex article on the weeknd that said the weeknd composed a lot take care or that he uses partynextdoor to compose a lot of his new stuff. It's not nearly the same as somebody writing his rhymes.

Maybe Meek should have somebody write his rhymes because he hasn't had a good verse in 3 years

Well I'm a old head and you kinda buggin. Cool J wrote rhymes for Run DMC. MC Lyte never wrote her own shyt, Will Smith had ghost writers. Cube and DOC used to write rhymes for NWA.

Ghost writing is NOT a new phenomenon and some of your favorite old school rappers had writers. shyt Kane wrote for Biz a few times.

This is true.

But I think there's always been a divide in who people will accept it from. Biz wasn't seen as a top tier lyricist. And a lot of the female rappers had writers. Apache, Kane, Grand Daddy IU, Puba, etc, were all writing for chicks, and nobody seemed to care. But when you're one of the "elite" MC's, things kinda get different because you're supposed to be more talented, I guess. So people don't view it the same. I remember back on SOHH when dudes were getting on Kanye for saying he was the best MC out, but Rhymefest had come out saying he wrote mad shyt for him. LOL!! It's one of those things where it depends on who you are.

When I heard that Puba was writing for Pete Rock, I didn't care. But if I heard that someone was writing for CL, that would've killed me. LOL!!

Meek b!tchmade if this is all about him finding out something happened before with Nicki and Drake. Shows he one of them dusty street n!ggas that kill over pvssy. That said, fvck Drake. Him not writing his own lyrics wouldn't be a shocker and plus he's probably the n!gga that's feeling himself the most in hip hop at the moment. That's exactly why Puff had to go upside the n!gga head.

I agree with everything but hopefully meek isnt lying just bc drake smashed nicki

meek will always be my dude for all his work on Oschino's mixtapes

If this is true, then Meek Mill is doing a public service. Drake is out here dominating an era Lebron-style. He isn't just making music like Puff and Dre, where people know he has ghostwriters. And none of the true GOATs ever had this kind of issue.

If people found out Biggie, Jay, or Nas had ghostwriters, they would cry like Meek said. So I get why people are defending Drake. If you're under 24, he's probably your favorite rapper. But writing your rhymes matters if you're out here claiming to be the greatest ever, dissing Common, and dropping subliminals going at Kendrick Lamar.

I'd like to see one of these 2 (or someone else who's involved) RAP. especially in situation like this. but label execs probably don't wanna see hip hop "beefs" even if it's just on wax

I understand if AB "vs." GFK doesn't lead to response songs because AB will pretty much lose no matter what (& that shyt is pretty much over for now)
