This is the power of the college bball in 90s, that this dude had a couple of good ncaa tourney games and parlayed that into a lifelong career.
He had a decent NBA career as well. And really being decent at basketball isn't even necessary to be a commentator. Jim Spanarkel played like 4 unspectacular years and is still getting commentator checks.

Honestly, he was probably in the wrong era
He would fit much better today in this small ball era as a stretch 4 even if he was a weak rebounder

He’s the second youngest guy there on a team full of 30+ year olds. He won. He was always slated to be the odd man out minutes wise and that’s fine. Prime harden and Westbrook were both barely playing for the 2012 team. That same team had AD and he was collecting DNP’s.

There is nothing I hate more in sports than this roast culture. It’s sickening.
