This is a fact. When a black mother or father forgives a cop for killing their son they’re a c00n. When Wallo says it, he’s the second coming of the Dalai Lama.

Forgiveness (or lack there of) is an extremely personal choice, especially when a family member or loved one has been lost. Some people don’t have it in them, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Doesn’t mean they’ll commit violence against someone, but if they feel that’s what will help them in their healing process, that’s their choice

I salute wallo for not caring and not holding back his emotions but the truth is, that’s not how to get thru these young ignorant dudes with money. They probably looked at him like he ain’t built for the streets just being stupid or looking at him weak. It’s like preaching too much in your music. You have to find a balance to try to reach the youth. I sadly feel that wasn’t it.

Powerful stuff. Sadly, too many people think of forgiveness as a way to let other people off the hook for bad things they did, and it's really not about that at all.

Forgiveness is ultimately a way to free yourself from pain and resentment of holding onto trauma, and it's not even so much about the person that hurt you...although it can be a tool to help them move forward and become a better person if they are truly remorseful.

But not matter what, working towards forgiveness towards people that have hurt you is a great gift to give yourself.

Wallo understands. Hanging onto anger and resentment is poisoning yourself.

Forgiveness is only for the strong, that's why God can forgive all, because he has the ability to bestow wrath on all

If you're not in a position to punish the person who wronged you, then you are not in a position to give them forgiveness
