What were they doing?fukk Leblon. I've done a decent amount of traveling and that place is literally the most place I've ever been to outside the US, and maybe ever if we exclude some parts of the South in the US..
Friend of a friend took us to this club there and shyt was the most passively racist vibe ever. After 10 mins we looked at the friend of the friend like " Get us the fukk outta here breh...what were you thinking?"
I've been clubbing in "local" spots in Mexico, central Europe, east Asia, north Africa, etc., and never felt as unwelcome as I did in Leblon. I travel to travel not to swirl but I've never seen some shyt even close to that experience. I'm still like to Brazil based on the segregation I saw in Rio. My buddy was from NYC and I could tell that shyt rocked him mentally.
Most likelyWhat were they doing?
Dirty looks?
it is, HEAVILY go to the shanty town'sBrazil must be segregated I ain't see a single black person
Sounds like a crazy dudeRami is back LOL, I use to watch his videos, he use to be in Columbia and got into crazy drama
* he use to make thousands of dollars on his livestream cuz he had some fine ass Venezuelan chick with him (not his girl, she just did lives with him) and people would donate money on the livestream, ive never seen anybody get so much money on a livestream, then she wanted money and they started beefing online
* then he was hanging with this other youtuber named Miko who then got arrested for raping boys (in the states), the columbian police arrested and extradited him to Georgia where he was facing charges, but Rami had to juelz a lot cuz people thought he was down with Miko's (alleged) lifestyle. Miko was rumored to have been messing with boys in the DR also. side note, Miko got released and he denies the charges and is back on youtube
* last i heard Rami's channel got shut down and he got his ass beat by the Columbian police
i guess he's back now, which is good, he seems like a good dude overall
Looks like I’m going to have to save this thread. Y’all gotta see the REAL Rio.So I'm a woman but I can appreciate a good looking woman too. I've been to rio, and it just didn't live up to the hype imo. Of course there weren't as many fat people, but I was expecting to see all these head turning beautiful women with amazing bodies and it wasn't like that. Not as diverse as I thought it would be at all. I didn't really experience any racism, but the people I ended up linking with were all white so I'm sure that had something to do with it.
I did meet a few black/mixed people there and they were all from Salvador. Next time I go to Brazil, that's my main destination. A friend of mine went to rio as well (without me), and he met a black girl there and he was telling her he wanted to go to Salvador and she didn't want him to because they would be all over him there lol. It's just more of us there so obviously friendlier.
I will say, other areas of Rio were much more diverse than this place though. I just read that this neighborhood actually used to be a quilombo for the escaped slaves. Interesting that this is what it became. I guess there are more people of color in the favelas but apparently they don't come to the richer areas and I didn't venture up there.
