Wale just does not have crossover appeal. Even the way he asks why he is not likeable makes him less likeable. Just like how Lupe's personality turned off his fan base (and lasers). J. Cole and Kendrick know how to seem opinionated while not directly annoying anyone. They have that "make you root for them" shyt. FHD was not even all that dope to people like my cousin in high school but because of the fact that Cole is his dude from The Warm Up and FNL, he bought it.
