Intricacy is a skills as well though and furthermore I feel Wale makes the better songs because he is a lot more diverse when you look at his catalog. He can do a go go joint, rnb and a story telling joint. J Cole don't have the same ability as wale when it comes to story telling and hit making too.

I agree that Wale is more diverse but the flipside is when he does club records and rnb records he gets too lyrical at times and that takes away from the overall feel of the song whereas someone like Cole he's not as diverse but he sticks to what he's good at which makes for better overall songs

Wale is better. Wale flows better, has better punchlines, better wordplay, his stories aren't corny. His concepts are better. He has better metaphors.

The only thing Cole has better than Wale is his attitude, the team he works with, and a better label/machine behind him. Which is more important is you're mainstream and putting out mediocre music
