in terms of technical skill i'd say wale, lyrically and in terms of content they're both talented, production wise I'd give cole the edge.

They are neck and neck tbh but I'm gonna go with Cole with the deciding factor being Friday Night Lights, I feel wale does not have one of those. Cole also makes better albums, with slightly more interesting content to me, and is more lyrical.

Wale may be a better song writer though which is why he may have more "hits". Wale also can be a more poetic then Cole but Cole is more lyrical overall.

Intricacy is a skills as well though and furthermore I feel Wale makes the better songs because he is a lot more diverse when you look at his catalog. He can do a go go joint, rnb and a story telling joint. J Cole don't have the same ability as wale when it comes to story telling and hit making too.
