Nope. If we talking power in words. Heartfelt shyt. Like See World.
You can’t be serious :stopitslime:

Cole>>>>>> Wale. There's nothing that Wale does as a rapper that Cole doesn't do better.
You don’t believe this .

If you wanna say he’s a better lyricist that’s your opinion .

Women don’t play jcole songs at parties or when they get ready .

Y’all love to play dumb but wale has a huge female fan base because he’s great at those songs .

J Cole doesn’t make better soulful songs than wale .

Tf are y’all smoking Cole is better for the simple fact he sounds better rapping

Cole=soulful, raspy voice with Southern relaxed Carolina drawl

Wale=cocky, slurry, nasal voice with D.C. area/urrea accent

Cole has superior vocal tonality and enunciation therefore he pockets flows better, conveys emotion better, and is more coherent and enjoyable to listen to

If you talking lyrics Wale has some cool concepts and clever wordplay but that doesn’t put him above Cole :comeon:

What’s so terrible about his voice and flow on this song ?

It's hard to want to take time to post examples when earlier in this thread you said this...
So in other words you aint got shyt for me:mjlol:, just say that nikka and quit stallling

So clearly being "clever lyrically" is something you don't prioritize when a rapper's wit is something I hold in high regard.
nice try, but the context of that is in the fact that the guy is saying wale is better than cole simply off of him being "more clever lyrically"

which lets say if Wale is more "clever" than Cole, then yes it dont mean shyt in the long run. Theres more to a rapper than being clever: voice, flow, cadence, delivery, and style all matter. NVM other elements like artistry, storytelling, songwriting

these are all elements to a rapper, and in which case Cole is better.

How familiar are you with Wale's material? As someone who has listened to all of their projects extensively, I find it hard to believe someone could possibly think Cole and Wale are on the same levels of creativity with their pen. Leads me to believe you haven't heard much Wale.
I have listened to almost all of Wale's catalog, and he is no Lupe, or even Nas in the creative shyt. He has decent concepts but his ideas are nothing to out of the realm of unexpectedness and profoundness that hes "above" cole

that jesus piece song being one, its cool. But it ultimately is just another personifcation song which rappers have been doing since forever in the 90s. Nothing about it is innovative

these nikkas is retarded if they think cole aint got songs for women or if that women dont fukk with him

the entirety of 2015 was bytches bumping 4 nikkas

Future, Drake, Fetty, and Cole with 2014 FHD. I heard bytches bumping that album constantly.

One is biracial and the other one is African
Aint got a thang to do with it. Africans/NonADOS get pushed when they got that juice or potential. The African just aint good and the biracial ADOS one is better than him.

:laff: :laff: :laff:

This why I can't be bothered with y'all, y'all too focused on the voices rather than the actual rapping :dead:
see this is what makes me convinced that rap fans dont know shyt about rap which they swear they do.

voice is literally a HUGE part of the art of rapping. saying otherwise is just you being a idiot.

i bet you cant even explain to me using examples and bars/verses what makes Wale a better lyricist than Cole right now. You prolly dont even know shyt about lyricism(which you seem to see as the end all be all) :mjlol:.

I can't speak for everybody, but Wale's spoken word was automatic skip status for me. He ruined "Diced Pineapples" with it. I never disliked Wale, his first two albums had my ear, but he never really made anything that made him essential listening.

nikkas get fooled by his laid back(and condescending at the same time) approach and delievery and think because he knows how to play on words a bit and goes into the lane of the "poetic rapper" that his shyt is more impressive than what it is

Let’s not forget the features like All I Want Is You by Miguel, Party by Beyoncé, No Sleep by Janet. Shorty buggin. Lol. Women were literally a HUGE part of Cole’s fanbase.

J. Cole didn't just sit on a Jay Z co-sign and a Jay Z co-sign can only take an artist so far. Memphis Bleek had the ultimate Jay co-sign and was nowhere near as successful. Cole produced his own music, found a lane, and then Forest Hill Drive put him over the top.

Wale had mixtape buzz then dropped a single featuring Lady Gaga that flopped and an album that nobody talks about. It took him getting with a crew to get hot and once MMG cooled off, so did Wale's popularity.

Explain Kendrick then because Kendrick isn't light skinned and he gets more props and hype than Cole ever could.

See my post about Kendrick.
Kendrick has a lane as a conscious street rapper and had an entire label behind him- Wale didn’t. Wale from NY is viewed differently. He’s just from a region that doesn’t produce stars and had no’s story to tell. He dipped into different sounds musically but never really told his immigrant parents and blowing a football scholarship properly. He could’ve told that J. Cole story much more deeply but he never did because he wanted to fly and jiggy too. Before you can be everything as a rapper you have to represent one thing. He never did. Cole was seen as conscious and relatable for college kids, Drake was rapping for women and being sensitive, Wiz was a stoner, Kendrick was a west coast spitter from the streets with a conscious - they were all something. The point is - there’s nothing you go to Wale for specifically and it’s because he never told the consumer that was his product. He never wanted to plant his flag as something. Jay Z said it at his hall of fame speech and way back on college drop out “first I captured the streets THEN I captured the charts.”

Nobody gives a fukk about some forced wordplay

J. Cole is significantly better in voice, candence, flow, enunciation, storytelling, and just rhyming bar to bar

Cole has a story millions relate to he has smoked Wale on every song I’ve heard them on
This isn’t true. Cole has a better rap voice and delivery but Wale is a much more clever lyricist. You guys need to relax on giving him 0 credit. J. Cole’s punchlines and metaphors would not hit nearly as hard if it wasn’t for his voice and delivery let’s not act like he’s Hov or something.
