He should have just leaned into his pop culture sh-t. He's always been this big wrestling fan and sitcom fan etc. he could have made more videos that would appeal to people into that sh-t

For a talented as I think Wale is, I can’t figured out why his music typically sounds so blah to me. Outside of Fluctuate, the album is a snooze fest to me. I genuinely feel he could make great music though, just don’t know what the disconnect is.

Wale is still real active, goes on press runs..shoots videos, promotes his shyt in hopes of moving 100k

all them old nikkas from Elton John to krs one put out projects and don’t even be caring anymore about the current climate and it’s reception …they simply live off their old stuff/nostalgia

so wale moving 19k is much more telling than kool g rap moving 9k

J. Cole didn't just sit on a Jay Z co-sign and a Jay Z co-sign can only take an artist so far. Memphis Bleek had the ultimate Jay co-sign and was nowhere near as successful. Cole produced his own music, found a lane, and then Forest Hill Drive put him over the top.

Wale had mixtape buzz then dropped a single featuring Lady Gaga that flopped and an album that nobody talks about. It took him getting with a crew to get hot and once MMG cooled off, so did Wale's popularity.

Explain Kendrick then because Kendrick isn't light skinned and he gets more props and hype than Cole ever could.
