I’ll say this, it was only a five year plan for them to do this from the jump. They told you what it was at the beginning. But like I said on here when all this was happening, a lot of these efforts were just to say to black folks, “hey, keep spending your money here.” Go back and look at those press releases. These companies don’t see a ROI, especially when the event that caused them to do this has long been forgotten by a majority of the folks who could benefit from it. They won’t be the only ones. Making this a long term project wasn't in the cards. Again, of all those statements, the UConn women’s team was more spot on and actually called out the system and the actors. Everyone else was tap dancing around it and saying the bare minimum to keep our black asses coming through the doors. One day, we have to make a stand, long term, like a Republican in the 70s fighting abortion. Not this 90 day shyt or until they cut a check for our silence.

I can 100% confirm that DEI has lead to a lot of quality black folk being in my institution. Like legit, they created a DEI taskforce and black folks, and others, increased in numbers vs how white it was even a couple of years ago.

This is not a good direction for us to go in.
