He's right that white women have benefited the most from DEI efforts so far. And he's right that studies show they hold far more leadership roles than Black women. However, that doesn't mean it's a failed policy or that it can't work for everyone. What it shows is that these programs need to be strengthened so they better address the unique challenges faced by Black men and women.People know this but because the just want to play stupid.
Disproportionate gains for white women are the result of deeper systemic issues, and fixing those takes real focus. Instead of scrapping these policies entirely, it's more effective to build on what's already there, and refining it with intentional and targeted goals and strategies. Trying to rebuild something like this from scratch in an increasingly hostile environment only make things harder.
I don't get the indifferent attitude to the all-out assault on these policies by Trump and his "let's fight anti-white racism and discrimination" allies.
