the fascination with guns in the us is mind boggling. they very strict gun laws where i live at the moment and there are alot less people getting shot. yes of course criminals can still get weapons, but it's harder for them and more expensive. the result is simply less guns in the streets and less murder vicitms. you also rule out accidental killings and idiots playing sherriff shooting at people they think are criminals. gun culture is responsible for the high murder rate in the us, but it's a moot point to discuss with "enthusiasts" because their fascination with guns is beyond reasoning.

The killing of Black men by police (the unjustified ones) stem from the fear that white people have towards black men based on their belief that black men are violent. That fear will never go away since it has existed since slavery so nothing can be done to change the mindset which causes unjustified shootings in the first place. Integration was a bad idea but Black men want to live up under the white man so this is what we have to deal with.
