we been argued about that already...ultimately, there were factors outside of Pat's control, though...can't put it square on him. Injury's, snakes, Ownership decisions got us with our squad. he's tryna get us out

Injuries? I see your point there.

If by snakes you mean Bron leaving then I gotta counter that. Even though I thoight I was pretty sketchy on Bron’s part that Wade took a pay cut for him to stay. I really can’t blame him for leaving. He probably saw how bad he treated Wade (being underpaid, never finding a true Robin for him.) On top of him telling Bron “If you’re a real man you would come back.” I’m sure that pushed him away.

And is ownership really responsible for the retarded contracts that are given to plumbers like Tyler Johnson and Dragic? I’m not sure if that’s beyond his control or not but it still looks pretty bad nonetheless.

He was a sure fire top pick, nobody could’ve predicted things would’ve went like this. I still rather have him over everyone on this roster sans J Rich.
Have him on the roster to do what? His shoulder plus our medical staff would be

Pat is a HoF coach and exec, but of late his moves have been ass. He’s still a better GM than most of the other execs.

But how? When was the last time he drafted an All-Star? Anytime a big free agent was signed it was because of Wade recruiting. (Not to mention he originally wanted Kaman in 03). ButI’ll give him credit for molding Spo into a great coach and for finding guys like whiteside and j rich turning them into solid nba starters.

What do you mean is ownership responsible. It was the damn owner that decided to match TJ’s contract. We got enough cats regularly posting in here that dont be knowing what they’re talking about, dont be another one :stopitslime:

Pat Riley (a known egomaniac) would’ve resigned a long time ago if he didn’t have final say in all decisions. Are you sure you know what you’re talking about?

The days of Riley being the sole decision maker are long gone. Dont quote me if you dont know

In a discussion of the Heat's off-season, Pat Riley spoke mostly about the loss of Dwyane Wade, but also made it clear that Micky Arison, the Heat owner, made the decision to match the Nets offer sheet on Tyler Johnson

"Micky said, 'You're not poaching any of my guys,' " Riley related, recalling a conversation Arison had with Nets brass. "And Micky made the decision. He loves Tyler. He's a young piece and part of our future. So we'll deal with years three and four, but years one and two we got him at a bargain."

"Micky loves him and he wanted him and made the decision to keep him," Riley added.
