It's weird how podcasts have been big for 10 yrs but just finally have been treated as important this election cycle

combination of trump shytting on the media for 10 years and popping up on like a dozen podcasts during his campaign. I think Obama might have done the marc maron podcast when he was still president but not sure he's done while campaigning.

the media played themselves and now they've ceded major ground to podcasters for when politicians campaign. I know execs see the writing on the wall, thats millions they're gonna lose cause now they're competing with podcasters for election ad spending.
