Ummm yeah you can turn off the soap opera effect on most Tvs.
True, but the point the feature of 120/240hz is just marketing gimmick to sell tv's. If it you spend more on a tv do it for other features that actually improve picture quality etc. The lack of 120/240 is not a deal breaker.

Not true. For movie nerds it allows you to watch your movies in 24 fps, making it smoother and more film like.

actually 60hz is cool for most people. 120 hz just introduces lag to gaming and give a "soap opera effect" to tv programing.
that's not 120hz that's the post processing which you can turn off.

120+ hz tvs have less ghosting because the pixels are refreshed more often than on a 60 hz set on a 120 hz set the TV can simply duplicate the frames to fit them into 120 hz refresh rate or it can do frame interpolation which is when the TV slightly lags the frames and creates new frames from the previous frame and the next one. those frames are input lag because they don't really exist and the tv has to make them. that's what
Vizio :heh:
LCD :heh:
60hz :heh:
my back up / spare TV is a 42 in Vizio and it was alright but i got a Sony and an LG and with it sitting next to them i can see its deficiencies. i sometimes use it as a second monitor and the colors look worse even after adjusting them. honestly that was a TV i bought when i was broke and couldn't afford better. i spent $500 on it. the Sony and the LG both each costed 3 times that amount and it shows.

mine cost 248, maybe there was a pricing problem. they pulled its straight from the back

i spent an hour playing with the settings but i couldnt get it to look nearly as good as my 55 inch.

maybe its cause its such a steep downgrade but i can tell the difference
