Surprised Chuck D is so low....No Ghostface or GZA

The inclusion of Z-Ro makes me believe you have some ties to Houston though

I like Ghostface and GZA but they wouldn't make my top 25. When you make a list of 25 you are going to make omissions of GREAT MC's, cause there are many great MC's.

Chuck D, true, he could be higher, it was kind of a rough list, I'd have to spend many hours thinking and formulating orders, it's not easy at all;

I have ties to pretty much everywhere, but it doesn't effect my lists at all. You'd be surprised how highly Z-Ro is rated, nowadays he's been on that singin vibe but before he was dropping cold rhymes and deeply emotional content. He historically has a very solid discography, a lot of people say he's the closest thing to Pac in certain relams, I like Z-Ro a lot, very relatable music and has some of my favourite songs. Would have had him higher but the recent singing shyt hasn't been advancing him as much.

What's your list? I don't mind people commenting on my list though, infact I encourage it, but I would like people to drop theirs. Cause the main reason I wrote it was to show people how hard it is and that nobody will agree, so we shouldn't be so harsh on people's lists on or off here as long as nobody straight up wack and garbage is on it.

I see omissions myself in my list that I'd have to analyse and deliberate over, Melle Mel, Prodigy, LL Cool J, Big L, Talib Kweli and many more, any of them could easily have been there It's extremely hard cause you are making judgments upon body of works where the material isn't equal, some people have different amounts of albums so it isn't a like for like judgement, so you have to judge upon the MC's contribution (if it's a group) to the group projects or the quality of what they have done. Some people such as Biggie have limited material but at such HIGH quality have to include him over some people who have many albums because his work was that dope. How do you judge an artist like Melle Mel? Elite MC, a true great and a legend, but not really many albums, obviously has his contribution to the group albums, then he had Muscles which was much later in the game. How do you judge Grandmaster Caz?. There's too many great for there ever to be an accurate list or a list everybody agrees with, I think we just have to be like is it a knowledgeable list or not? I would say mine is even if you disagree with some of the choices as or think there's omissions. I think most people wouldn't agree with eachothers either with the choices or the order.

Lists are corny and redundant. Just listen to who you listen to. Ranking ART makes no fukking sense

Neg pending. Lists are fun, it keeps people striving to want to get better too, and causes interesting discussions. 1 of the best books I have is the Kool Moe Dee book where he lists his top 50 MC's. I'll post the top 25 of that actually too, I bet people disagree with that too but Moe Dee is a legend and knowledgeable so I can't be tripping on his list even if I disagree.

Devil's advocate with this is people would say where's KRS-One? How is Outkast, DMX, Sigel ahead of Kris? No-one in your list is wack so it's cool to me but just highlighting no-one's going to fully agree with eachother so have to be tolerant.

I don't have an all time list ....because it would be sullied with my favorites.

I suppose you'd judge them just as you would Andre 3000......

Melle Mel ?:nateholdon:Grandmaster Caz?:nateholdon:

I hadn't even been developed in my fathers testicular system during these years .......

Only cat I got love for from that era is LL and Masta Ace

That's what I mean, that's the point I was making, no list is going to be completely in unison for the most part. I'm sure even posters with whom I agree with mostly on here when it comes to lists it would greatly vary, it doesn't mean they aren't valid, as long as no-one hugely wack is on it.

Andre 3000? Not sure what you mean, I don't think Andre is wack.

Lol, I wasn't born during those years either but it didn't stop me from going back. Don't see why a Hip Hop head wouldn't have love for Melle Mel, Moe Dee, Caz, T-La Rock, Devastating Tito etc..

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I haven't heard much of Ransom so can't really comment on that. I would certainly have Big in there, maybe he doesn't like Big for some reason. Pac would be my GOAT but I don't think you're ever going to get identical lists in terms of orders to one's own opinion so as long as the MC's he picked aren't wack then it's cool to me.
this goofy nikka got Ransom over Ice Cube...Pac...there's no Biggie or Nas on the list...and a lot of the names ain't bad but the order is horrendous...

What's so bad about his list? Mine would be very different but it isn't terrible, by far from the worst I've seen.

Listen man... any list that doesnt have Biggie and Nas in the
Top 3? Ok I can accept that. I am listening...:manny:
Top 5? Hmmm Ok I can kinda accept that.. I dont agree but I am still listening.. :francis:
Top 10? :wtb:
TOP mother fukking 25?!?! Is 1000000% bullshyt I am sorry. :camby::camby::camby:

That list is irrelevant, he obviously got personal issues to be leaving him off that list.

To each their own. I'm not really mad at anybody being left out. Biggie is in my top 10 but he had like 2 albums, maybe he thinks the body of work is lacking, the reason Biggie is in mine is because I felt what he did drop was of such a high quality but when I was younger BIg used to be higher but as more people released more material it changed. I can't speak for Vinnie Paz, but I've seen much worst lists than this even on this board, some people had some really wack rappers in the list, on Vinnie's list no-one is wack to me.

I see hardly anybody is dropping lists, probably cause they know they will be nitpicked and everyone will disagree, but I did to try and get across no-one's gonna agree with anyone. You probably don't agree with my list either lol, don't mean it's bullshyt though, just my opinion, no-one on my list is wack...

Body of work...

Listen it's a debate if Big is left out of the Top 5 on anyone's list. It's odd to see him not on the Top 10 on anyones list.. But top 25? c'mon man... Oh yea and Nas not in the top 25 either? I am not stanning but thats just stupid, this clown needs to look over that list again.

Mother fukking busta rhymes over Biggie and Nas? Ummhmm ok...

@The Ruler 09 make a top 25 mc list and leave out biggie and nas and you will get comments too. This dude is clowning

You know he missed out number 13 don't you? So that was most probably Nas or Big lol. Like I said I can't speak for Vinnie Paz, Nas is in my top 5, Big in my top 10 so I don't know why they aren't in his. I just don't really catch feelings about people's lists, the only time will be like :snoop: is if some really wack rapper is on it. And sometimes no KRS would ring some alarm bells to me, but by and large I don't really have an issue unless wack MC's are on it. You should check some of the lists people have done on here lol, not only no Nas or Big but people like Drake on their list lol. Ask @intilectual recipricol for his list lol, it's awful..
