Vince Staples will never create anything on the level of Eminem's first three major albums (SSLP, MMLP, TES) and this is from someone who hasn't bumped his shyt since Re-Lapse.

This is literally the equivalent of a nikka in the D League talking about "Steph Curry taking up MY spot and nikkas are blind to that fact!!"

Also...like 90% of the people in this thread co-signing this rubbish have either no rep or are well into the red lol

Not to mention "nobody is trying to copy Eminem" yet his nominee for best rapper alive (not even close) Kendrick has Eminem all in his DNA to the point where you got people complaining about funny voices and him doing too much "rippity rap" on features....nikka please.
Eminem? or Busta Rhymes, and Red Man mix with Luda and Missy Elliot...

Don't quote me with no stupid shyt like this please.

You could listen to my whole album and see that it pays homage in my cadence and my flow,” Kendrick told VIBE in March of Em’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city influence. “But at the same time, it’s still me.”

Dr. Dre’s two hip-hop progenies have been publicly showing their fanship for each other. Kendrick Lamar gets a shoutout in Eminem’s “Berzerk,” as well as a cameo in the video (see screenshot above). And Kendrick does his best Em impression on the manic “Backseat Freestyle.”

“When I have that aggression in the record like that [on ‘Backseat Freestyle’], that’s tricks that I learned being in that studio and dedicating myself; being a student,” Kendrick said. “Eminem was definitely a sought-out player that I always respected and looked up to.”

Yes he is.

You can say you think xyz but he has written some great songs.

And Ross is a very formulaic, background noise, carried by production ass rapper. He's a competent rapper, even with me not being a fan I won't front on his pen (that he actually uses) but he ain't the star of the show...he is second banana to his production team, he knows it, his fans know it. All he needs to do is show up, not get in the way and name the tracks ___ Muisc this that and the other.

He's a jobber.

Which in this era makes you a GOAT.

Freddie Gibbs > Ross, Kendrick, Vince staples and Eminem RIGHT NOW...on all fronts.

If it's that easy, why doesn't every rapper do that? Ross mic presence is 2nd to none in rap right now. His persona looms heavy on almost every track he makes. These are things the draw the listener in and holds their attention and are essential elements in making good rap music.

Because not every rapper is interested in playing the background to their production team.

I'm not gon "hate" on Ross though, he does his thing for his fans and I can't front on his pen, period.

I'll root for him based on that alone.

I like Vince's music but as someone who appreciates and respects actual lyricism I can't rock with this

Vince ain't never made me have to play shyt back cause the line was so ill I got hyped and missed what came after

fukk music if we talking RAPPER then it's basically no mic, no beat, just bars. Not hooks and melodies.

This is true

No rappers will ever be in the same league as MJ, Prince and nina simone musically...the closest we have are Kendrick Lamar and Kanye West, they're the only ones, right now, who understand what makes music great from a quality standpoint

if you disagree then you're just a clown who lacks the musical knowledge required to discuss music and its different genres. There's more to hip hop than just rap. It's music

Two nikkas who will never be the goat in they field can't be in a discussion with MR and Prince:mjlol:

The goats of the hiphop era will be and are already put in the same discussion as Prince and MJ,as they are all time goats in they genres:sas2:

Cacs just like Kanye and Kendrick more than the average goat and can relate a lil more aparently.....that don't get you no special honors outchea:camby:

No, he integrated those influences into his skillset and then did his own thing with it. And you should have started the list with KGR, if you even know who the fukk that is.

You could listen to my whole album and see that it pays homage in my cadence and my flow,” Kendrick told VIBE in March of Em’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city influence. “But at the same time, it’s still me.”

Anything else?

And Pacs catalogue is short yet timeless....I guess he's using the longevity argument... but nikkas who lasted longer never capitalized, and Pacs music is still relevant and timeless:blessed:

Since when does awards and sales take into account someone's flow game, delivery and Bars:dahell:
