See, if the E tried taking this from her or worse, tryna co-op and dip into their pockets? I wouldn't blame a talent for wilding the fukk out in the slightest. That's more than a lot of the boys & girls in the back are making over the duration of their CONTRACTS. Not just in a year, in like, 5.
Honestly, I feel like that kind of earning potential is what has the E wanting to clamp down. Before it was just Hollywood potentially snapping up talent that gave them pause. Hence why they work to make sure no one gets *too* big in the company unless they are 100% certain will remain loyal. Now, though? These wrestlers could potentially start a Twitch or a Youtube account and make enough money completely on their own that they could have some semblance of leverage in contract negotiations.

If I'm a wrestler who's unhappy with my booking or the size of my check, I'm walking in to contract negotiations like, "Look, either you can up my pay with more TV time or I can go make money catching shiny Pokemon on twitch. What you wanna do?"

WWE Reportedly Addresses Rules For New Third Party Edict - Wrestling Inc.

WWE addressed some of the rules related to the edict that was issued to talents last week, giving them 30 days to cease all activities with third party platforms. It was noted in the edict that repeat violations could lead to fines, suspension or termination. The edict led to a significant amount of criticism from fans, wrestlers and former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang, and was covered by the mainstream media.

WWE officials have reportedly relaxed some of the vague rules mentioned in last week's edict, according to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com. The edict was addressed backstage at today's RAW taping from the Amway Center in Orlando, FL.

It was clarified that talent will be able to maintain both Twitch and YouTube accounts, but they have to do so using their real names, not their WWE ring names. Talents were also told that they have to inform the company of their YouTube and Twitch accounts, even though they will be using their real names
.

The report noted that previously talents were told by WWE officials that they could not market themselves with their real names.

At today's meeting, nothing was reportedly made clear of exactly what will not be allowed on social media and other platforms, but the belief is that Cameo will not be allowed. The source noted to F4Wonlinr.com that this was still "super vague."

For those who missed it, WWE issued the following statement on Saturday regarding talents having third party deals:

"Much like Disney and Warner Bros., WWE creates, promotes and invests in its intellectual property, i.e. the stage names of performers like The Fiend Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Big E and Braun Strowman. It is the control and exploitation of these characters that allows WWE to drive revenue, which in turn enables the company to compensate performers at the highest levels in the sports entertainment industry.

Notwithstanding the contractual language, it is imperative for the success of our company to protect our greatest assets and establish partnerships with third parties on a companywide basis, rather than at the individual level, which as a result will provide more value for all involved."
Nonsense :russ:

from what i heard Paige and "Rusev" I think he goes by Miro now are eatin off twitch.. and Big E and others were eatin off Cameo.. management probably salty

Well.... WWE does arguably have a right to a cut of the profits since they are going by and profiting from their WWE names. I highly doubt they’ll be making as much going by their legal names.

Take Dave “Fake News” Meltzer at his word brehs :mjlol:

You think Batista and Mick Foley, who literally have the # of everybody in that locker room were going by Meltzer? :dahell:

If those guys posted what they did, it was because they talked to their friends who still work there.

What happened was Cokeboy and them heard the backlash and modified their policy

What about wrestlers who had their ring names before coming to WWE like AJ Styles or Shinsuke Nakamura? Does WWE own that name now too or is it free for AJ to use because it precedes WWE?
