they are using the rock wins at mania combined with movie money template for batista.

so, batista has to contractually be given the title at mania.
which, is why I don't understand why they would unify the titles.

they could have used another rubber match, of cena vs rock.

plus, they could have had a movie star vs movie star mania match.
that had rock vs batista at mania inbetween, too.

Here is where our point of views are different. Bryan does have the ball, week in and week out he is constantly the focal point. The WWE title doesn't mean you have the ball anymore, those days are over. Word to Alberto Del Rio.
