in the cnn video a passenger says many people who weren't belted, including her mom who just came from the bathroom, flew up into the overhead and were injured.

@Double Burger With Cheese see this is why you should wear a seat belt on the plane sweetie :therethere:

I’m over being a passenger. From now on I’m asking can I fly the plane. And what you been on?

Pilots do usually climb elevation to avoid bad turbulence; I wonder what stopped them this time
Part of the way pilots avoid turbulence is reports from other aircraft who've travelled the same flight path. In this case, it sounds like they hit Clear Air Turbulence; something that's hard to predict. It's also a lot more common in the Pacific as well.

I think it was because they were on approach. That means the plane is way lower than cruising altitude because they have to land.

I just flew to Japan in October, and we had CRAZY turbulence when we were near Alaska.

I thought that was it, breh, I ain't gon lie :francis:

I've been on a million planes, and travelled overseas many, many times. Every time we hit bad turbulence, I'm hitting the :sadcam::sadcam::sadcam:
